I think its a fair joke i need to pay $5 to go online to have a chance to get a grand final ticket. Im a socail club member 10-19 years gold and i have a tiny chance to get a ticket i assume. I entered last year and paid $5 and didnt get one.

I just think its daylight robbery. Collingwood has a lot of socail club members and something like 1000-5000 avaible for them. Easy cash for ticketek for doing squat all.

Yes i feel happy to even have a chance dont get me wrong but the end of the day i still think its wrong to charge people for this

It's not Collingwoods' fault, we need someone to handle the ticketing transactions, and no matter who does, they will charge a so called "booking fee".

Having said that, I'm a 10-19 year member also (even though I first took out a membership in 1984:eek:), thus I only qualified as a tier 3 "shot" this year (basically no chance at all), and the booking fee is the main reason why I didn't even bother.

Oh, that and the fact I also am an AFL full member with club support that 100% guarantees me a GF ticket if the Pies are in it.

I feel sorry for all the great loyal Pies fans out there that can't get tickets, it's a bitch of a system overall.

Haha well your lucky. You shoulda given someone your barcode to give them a chance

I dont exactly have sympathy for the "loyal" supporters. You can get tickets if you want. Become a legend member? To expensive... Give up something in your life.. Maybe dont buy your lunch at work, buy 1 less drink at the bar every weekend, quit smoking. As far as im concerend if your a 100% obbessed loyal supporter you will find a way to

A. Become a full legend member
B. Afl Member
C. Mcc member
D. spend $1500 on a package

First, I'll never give my barcode to anyone, ever, it takes over 10 years + to get to be a full AFL member now, and if you get caught breaking the rules, it's bye bye to your membership, or at least your full one.

But yes, I agree with the A-D, if you are desperate enough you will find a way, although AFL and MCC really isn't an option unless you want to wait 10 + years.

And as per last year, there are always cheaper packages floating around, especially this time of year, with the lower clubs flogging off their packages to make a quick buck.

haha i meant your collingwood socail barcode. Obviously i would never suggest break the rules of mcc or afl!

Actually we have been reserved seat ticket holders for over 20 years (since the Vic Park days) and that's what qualifies me for the 10-19 year category.

I gave up the social club membership once we moved from Vic Park, didn't see a need for it at the G.

If I had a transferable Social Club barcode I would definitely have given it to a pies fans, don't worry about that, but the reserved seat ticket is aligned with the AFL membership now (game day entry component is paid for through my AFL membership), so it's non transferable.

Bloody well said!

Thats wierd? pretty unfair really even if its a dollar.

it's the principle, it didn't phase me too much paying $5, at a stretch I can see that it costs money to set this sort of thing up, but why we pay a dollar more and there's probably heaps more Pies fans registering is a bit much

for the other options,
A. Become a full legend member - it's full, waiting list?
B. Afl Member - waiting list
C. Mcc member - on the waiting list
D. spend $1500 on a package - equiv of a 10 year member so ok if you've been a non-member I guess

Again, not phased, I understand there's 100k or so spots for a granny ticket....

I'm lucky/grateful I got to see, in the flesh, Darren Millane hold the ball aloft at the final siren in 1990 :)

It's a cash grab by Ticketek/AFL. No idea why members for 4 clubs have to register for the ballot, other then the obvious ($$$$).
