Ticketek sell the worse tickets first thing knowing die hard supporters panic they may miss out getting a ticket at all so they take whatever is given doing it over the net IMO. Then as time passes public reserve seating goes on sale, they filter out better seats which are far more expensive. So basically football members get shafted regardless of paying top dollar membership and supporting your team all year round.I'm a fully paid up member have been for many years,go to every game in Melbourne, didn't have a chance to jump on the net until later Monday afternoon to get tickets and of course was offered top deck nose bleed seats which i was absolutely filthy about so i didn't buy them.Waited until yesterday, paid top dollar and got a great seat.Very poor!!!
If you dont mind me asking... how much did you pay per ticket...?
I thought that all the seating was broken down into the following categories regardless of club memberships or gen admin...
Standard - approx $45
Prime - approx $60
Premium - approx $73
This is the seating chart also for finals, which shows that the standard seating is pretty much either nosebleeds, or the cheer squad, prime is rest of the top deck, and premium is all of first 3 levels (excluding cheer squad)...

After speaking to ppl, and reading on forums, it seems that if you were in a big group, you could only get seats on ground level (i.e - I am in a group of 6 and got ground level), but if it was just a couple of you, then ticketek could issue tickets on the next 2 levels (obviously best viewing points)..
Anyway, im just over the moon that im going... this will be my first final since the 93 first final between carlton and essendon @ night when we won by around 3-5 points... (I was only 10)... funnily enough, my cousins and I also attended the North v Eagles match the same day at waverley park, so from attending 2 finals in 1 day, to not going to a final for the next 18 years, im well over due...
