No, not the excellent BF contributor; it's a description of the last quarter at the MCG.

That whole game was a comedy of errors, by both teams & the umpires, the skill errors by all involved were disgraceful.
Going on that performance, I don't think either team will do anygood should they make the finals.
It had rained all morning and it p!ssed down at half time. Unfortunately there wasn't a roof.....

I know that the Hawks won by a large margin, but that was more the Tigers pathetic final quarter, than good play by the Hawks.

HAHA...Richmond were pathetic today....and I loved every second of it!! Time to put those brand new scarves back in mothballs!
9th here we come! The Tigers skills were woeful, I'd love to know how many turnovers they managed.
And Nick Daffy...get a hard ball you receiver...what a dud.

In Monday's paper Brad Ottens admitted that Richmond were over-confident.
On the weekend Danny Frawley suggested too many Richmond players were complacent.
Given Richmond's recent history I am astounded by that! Surely the players know better?
Hawthorn deserves all credit for being in front at 3/4 time and for playing at their best in an important match.
But the blow-out in the final quarter had a lot more to do with Richmond's poor effort than anything Hawthorn did. The players were simply unaccountable as soon as it was clear that they could not win.
Before the game, commentators were describing Bowden as being in "Brownlow winning form" - it clearly went to his head. Likewise Richardson and Ottens are getting ahead of themselves.
The result is not a disaster for the club. This week Richmond will regain three key players who were sadly missing on Saturday - an experienced ruckman (Gale) and two tough, hard-working and accountable midfielders (Kellaway [D version] and Hilton).
Furthermore it should be a wake-up call to Bowden, Ottens and Tivendale, who were all far too smug in the lead up to the game. It took a thumping to wake up Hawthorn - it may take the same to wake up the Tigers.
Richmond is still good enough to make the top four if their attitude improves.
