I recently got an Xbox, and have been hiring out Tiger Woods 2004 a fair bit, and will probably buy it soon.

It seems like a ripper 1 player game, as it's got so many tasks to complete before clocking the game. Also, with sport games, I suppose you can always play them without actually "finishing" them, you can always go one better.

I'm just after the opinion of anyone who might have this game, and what they think of the single player career mode? If I'm spending $100, I'd be wanting a game that doesn't end up at the back of the shelf in a month or so.

Cheers.

I've played it non-stop for about the last 2 days, and I've no doubt that it's the best game I've ever played or seen.

I spent about 30 minutes browsing through the game and all the things that need to be done to complete it, and it definitely looks like value for money. The scenarios, world tour, pga season, and real-time events would mean that it'd be a long time before I completed the game, no matter how good I got.

After only a few tries at getting used to the game, I shot -25 and -40 in the first and second PGA tour events, and won the Player of the Month etc. However, upon thinking I was any good at the game, I then tried the Par 5 Scenario challenge. Needing less than 14 in 4 Par 5's is a tough ask, and so I realise that the game will just get harder and harder.

Basically, I'm addicted, and will be purchasing the game within the week, and will probably be playing it beyond the year.

I have it on PS2 and its amazing!

In the career mode you have a tournament every calendar week, on a different course from around the world each week, and you can play your character for 20 years - so thats a near endless amount of gameplay!

One of the best games of the year..

It's a great game but I'm already looking forward to 2005, I want more courses more challenges & more power, more of everything.

But they could do with making it harder though, you shouldn't be able to stop a Driver on any green within a few paces as you can do on some of them.

Plus the spin is too much of a get out of jail card, you should be able to get more back spin but not all the side spin.
