I really liked this, made me smile this morning!Tigers Could Be Stripped of 2017/2019 Premierships After New AFL Scandal
Tom Browne, 7News
It started out with a kick, how did it end up like this? When superstar Dustin Martin kicked Richmond's final goal on 30 September 2017, sealing the Tigers' resurgence to premiership glory, few would have suspected something far more sinister going on behind the scenes. Fast forward 24 months and the Tigers, led by coach Damien Hardwick, had created what some would call a dynasty, having won two premierships and a minor premiership in three years. Richmond's rise from mediocrity (finishing 14th in 2016) was rarely questioned.

It has been 34 months since that historic, drought-breaking premiership, and finally, the truth is beginning to come out. It would have been easy to shrug off Jonathan Brown's comments last night, during Fox Footy's On The Couch, when the former Brisbane Lions captain and three-time premiership player pointed out that Richmond key defender Ryan Garthwaite was playing "extra, up the field" as a winger. Upon closer inspection, however, it appeared that Ryan Garthwaite was not selected in Richmond's squad of 22 for the round six clash.
This reporter and Melbourne University alumni reached out to Johnathan Brown, questioning how such a mistake could be made, including multiple mentions of the player's name, along with graphics displaying it in capital letters over footage used while Brown spoke. It was during an interview that Johnathan confided, one Brown/e to another, that this was not at all a mistake.
For the last three years, Johnathan Brown (with assistance from former Bulldogs captain Brad Johnson) has been compiling evidence to suggest that Richmond has been systematically cheating, and have done so during both premiership campaigns in 2017 and 2019. Brown and Johnson believe that Richmond deliberately lost games during the 2016 season in order to receive a better draft pick, which they intended to use on superstar Ryan Garthwaite. However, upon realising that no other club knew of Garthwaite's potential, Richmond traded the pick to obtain midfielder Dion Prestia and instead used pick 72 on the key defender.

During the 2017 off-season, Neil Balme, Blake Caracella and Justin Leppitsch (a former teammate of Brown's) worked together to finalise a secret Richmond plan: Project Garth Vader. The internally-controversial and highly illegal project involved copying the DNA of new recruit and super-player Ryan Garthwaite and injecting it into clones of the Richmond playing group. Since then, all Richmond players fielded have been Ryan Garthwaite duplicates, with his skills and mind, in the bodies of other players.
For the last three years, Richmond has been almost unstoppable, without explanation. Their only major hiccup came on the night of the Preliminary Final against Collingwood in 2018. This was because of an injury to Garthwaite-Astbury, causing mass confusion within the club. The mix-up meant that instead of the Garthwaite clones, the real Richmond side, unfit and unskilled, played out the game instead, explaining their sudden drop in form.
When asked what proof there was for these claims, Johnathan Brown replied: "If you go back to a game in 2018, during round 22 I believe, Richmond vs Essendon, there is a moment where Ryan Garthwaite (the real one) took a large head wound. I'm no doctor, but I can say with 100% certainty that it's not possible to survive as much blood loss as he sustained that night. It's obvious that Garthwaite is some sort of superhuman."

We reached out to AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan, asking his thoughts on this theory and the possible outcome of a future investigation. "We'll look into it, without a doubt," he said. "Should this prove to be true, we will have no choice but to throw the book at them, as we did with Melbourne and Essendon during their own scandals. This would mean that Richmond has supplied the AFL and media with completely incorrect teamsheets for the last few years, which is totally unacceptable. At the very least, their recent premierships will be taken away."
More to come.

Yep, Jonathon Brown was actually meant to be tied to Collingwood via the uncle-nephew rule (Billy Picken), which should’ve over-ridden the father-son rule on this occasion because ... well ... Collingwood.Brisbane Lion checking in, just throw a * on like we did for our 2001-03 premierships for all the various reasons Collingwood whinged about.

Well, when you get charged $25,000 just for a facial, it adds up pretty quicklytigers to be stripped of 2020 flag after sending the AFL bankrupt with too many ludicrous hub requests !
