I fail to see how covid meant we had to have a shortened gf, ad breaks of over a minute after every goal, a 27 minute half time and a night grand final.

Was any of that really that bad? Did it really change the end result of the season that much? Is there any indication it's now permanent? They were all pretty minor "inconveniences" in the context of this whole COVID situation.

Hypothetically, wouldn't it be easier for the AFL and the Tigers to just punish the guy and distance themselves from his actions, rather than cover for him?

perhaps but on a wider scale it chips away at the sport's reputation as a whole if they admit it happened

Don’t you think there would be 10,000 other opportunities and better places to get some coke than during the most photographed and videoed place on the planet at that point in time? I’m sure there was scar face level piles back at their hotel ready to go, he’s not going to bother with some minuscule amount on live TV.

A guy I worked with had a fairly senior role at Richmond and I remember him telling me about suddenly having to go into damage control when a certain player emerged from the toilets in a state during the season launch.

They know the drill (and yes, I’m aware our boys put up 10% of Bolivia’s GDP in ‘16 too).

Yep, I wish they didn't but obviously they can't help themselves. Clubs do a pretty a pretty good job of keeping it under wraps. My mate did a lot of coke with the Pies players years ago, funnily enough he said the biggest fiend was none other than the sweet prince Heritier himself. Harry O'brien back then.

collingwood should be expecting a anal intrusion of mass proportions shortly in regards to the Treloar fiasco.
Something big is about to go down here.
This is as unprofessional as Collingwood has been in it's entire history.
McGuire, Buckley, Walsh, Anderson, Maxwell, Pendlebury, Guy and Rendell are some of the best operators in the game in their various fields and not one of them has made any public statement regarding this matter.
There is a body somewhere and methinks a number of people are scared $h!tle$$ it is about to be dug up.

I'm calling bullshit on this story, no one in their right mind would want to be anywhere near Harry Lumumba while he was on coke.
