ppppfffftt missing the point my arse. some of us dont need and in fact are thoroughly fed up with pretty pictures being painted all the time.
we just had 5 yrs of the best spin in the land from wallace we dont need anymore. besides membership advertising is over for another season.
You are so missing the point. How is it spin? As the season wears on, we'll most likely fall out of this top eight, but a target was set a month and a half ago, and so far they are on target. There's no spin.

So now the official membership drive is over are you telling me that if we have a few wins and the club is promoting the club well and providing some hype about our team and or next season I can't get on the club website and buy some Richmond merchandise '

Please Santa , lighten the f$&k up. This is a training and motivational tool put together to give a bunch of 18 year old to 20 somethings belief that they can compete with any team in the competition if they put their heads down , back them selves and follow instructions .

It's fair to say tools like this could be responsible for the lack of 10 goal floggings lately.

...would have gone down in cricket history as one of the best spin bowling combinations of all time...warney and wallace...they would have spun their way around all comers...:D...

None from my memory, Hawthorn had PP's but I don't think they ever tanked.

Success breeds success as they say.
LOL. Think again. ;) They used the system perfectly at the time (ie: letting Dawson get smashed week in week out by op fwds; letting us come back at the dome when we were 40+ down, etc....) and on and on... I remember perfectly at the time and i agree 100% with how they subtly tanked through various means.

GO TIGES!!!

stupid ploy.
We're 15th and showing improvement.
Any other angle is of an adolescent nature and should be dismissed as poppycok.
Play on!

Its more about goal-setting for the players than spin for the spectators. And its no coincidence that the improved performance coincided with the introduction of Graham and Griffiths into the side which improved our structure immensely and with the improvement in a number of the youngsters, two of the things you like to bang on about.

There is still plenty of room for improvement - we've got a couple of guys that are doing the job asked of them at the moment but don't have the polish to take us where we want long term, and we still desparately need a tall defender so Post or Gourdis will get a chance soon. We also still let our guard down against the swans for a long enough period that a better team would have put us away. But I'm enjoying the improvement and the wins at the moment and being competitive is a hell of a lot better environment for developing a team of kids than having them being constantly being called 'worse than fitzroy' by uninformed but influential journos.
