The Dogs, last year....
I meant more along the lines of decades, not under 10 years. I think of it like the movie the 40 year old virgin, when it's pent up for that long pressure does funny things

Edit: Not talking about winning the thing just finals pressure. If Richmond make GF I could see them having their day

If dealing with obnoxious opposition supporters is a concern you should seriously be backing GWS. You will cop no grief whatsoever. A GWS v Crows grand final would be mercy for vic supporters.
You are spot on. However I find the current crop of Adelaide players hard to dislike and they have provided some pretty fine entertainment.

To be honest, I'm pretty ambivalent from here on in. I do feel for the hardcore Tigers supporters that have waited for so long - at the same time, the over the top media coverage (such as the two page spread explaining Dusty Martin's tattoos), the ongoing joke, the bandwagoners, etc are making me think a GWS win would be pretty amusing.

Why would non Richmond supporters want Richmond to win?

Just as I'd be confused if anyone outside of Carlton wanted us to win in the same situation.
Classic case of good v evil, you know deep down you want to jump on the tiger train. Toot toot!!

Tigers making GF would be great for the town. Drama and tension.
Hope they salute

Because they haven't won a flag in nearly four decades, they are a great club with a proud history and it would be great to see them win as I've never witnessed a Tigers flag. Their supporters deserve it, it's been a tough road for them, having only won three finals in 35 years and almost going out of business during the Save Our Skins era.

I'd be happy to see the Crows win too but if the Tiges get over the Giants today I'll be supporting them.

Living in Adelaide will be unbearable if the Crows get up. North Korea could nuke America and what Sloane had for breakfast would still be the top story.

Go Richmond.
Port could win a flag and what Sloane had for breakfast would still be the top story.

You know, popularity and market share and all that.

Meh on the same token I'd like to see a GWS flag they've only been in the competition for a few seasons but it would be cool to show GCS how a recently established club should be run!

And it would be egg on the face to the supporters of rival clubs that are offended about the concessions GWS get :p

Would also be a new needling point to have a crack at Buddy for going to the wrong club.

That be right up your alley Xtreme

After Geelongs debacle, a state turns its weary eyes to the Tigers

Good luck tomorrow
As a Victorian, I can't decide whether I want the Tigers to lose today, or next week.

It's a tough decision. Both appeal in their own way.

Let's say if the tigers win today and even win next week, does anyone seriously think they will back it up next year?. They are a 6-10th side, and by some bulldog like fluke, find themselves here.

The only hope of someone standing up to Adelaide in a grand final is GWS. The only hope of a close grand final is GWS.
Lol, how did that go the last two times you played them? Have you even beaten them at all before? Hows your record at the G?

Adelaide are huge favourites regardless who wins, but in form at the G with huge support, we are a better shot than you.

Well there is a slight difference Blue.

Richmond are a sexy exciting and drama filled passion play and secretly most opposition fans in Victoria long to have been born Tiger.....you'll know the feeling yourself.

On the other hand Carlton are....well how can it put this....they are Carlton aren't they?

Exhibit A And I suppose you'll accuse Carlton of being arrogant.

Next week's Richmond versus Adelaide Grand Final will go down as one of the best in history. Was one of those classic games that had it all. Lots of free open running, non-stop mayhem, big hits and fierce tackling, screams of "ball", the ball spilling in all directions, high-scoring from both ends, back and forth, not many stoppages, long range bombs, great snaps, leaping marks and leaping fists from big packs, even the rare melee.

In the end tho, the Tigers prevail in a heart-stopper.
Richmond in a high scoring game?

One of the lowest scoring top 4 teams since 2000. Not saying they're no chance at a flag because they clearly are but they won't be winning a shootout against GWS let alone Adelaide.

I don't get this going for teams from your own state thing. I doubt Port supporters would be saying "I hope Adelaide wins", just as I would be going for GWS if they are play Geelong in the GF. I simply see fellow Victorian teams as bigger rivals than interstate teams.
