Re: Clubs' 2002 Draw requests thread.

This was quoted in 'The West Australian' state newspaper today on Page 67.

"If you are trawling through news groups on the Internet and we all know what you're doing you might just come across rec.sport.football.australian where footy fans with time on their hands vent their spleens and other things on the state of the game."

"One item purports to reveal what the 16 AFL clubs have requested for the 2002 draw. The author of the wish list is unknown but here are a few of the more interesting requests"

They then mention:
Fremantle
West Coast
Western Bulldogs
St Kilda

It would have been nice if the person who started e-mailing it around the country had left my name on it.

Maybe the person who took it in the 1st place could chase up the West Australian (& others presumably) and advise them where & who they got it from originally. Not too likely I imagine.

Journalists definitely look through the footy related message boards. I wrote a not too kind message on the official saints fan forum about one Rohan Connolly and he read it out on 3AW one weekend. I wasn't listening at the time but I'm quite happy that he is at least taking note of supporters complaints, even if he did reportedly have a go at me.

Since first reading this thread yesterday, I dug the original post out and copied it, embedding TT's nic firmly in the body of the text and emailed it to a heap of regular joke recipients.


Maybe then TT will get a bit of due recognition!
