No way. Blair was okay today and has a track record of good performance. 18 disposals, 9 tackles today. Should have kicked those goals though. Broomhead just looked overwhelmed. Didn't get to any dangerous positions, didn't attack the game . Hopefully nerves played a part and there is improvement there. Also I hope the expectations people have for him don't turn to too much criticism if he doesn't step right up to AFL level.

On what we have seen the last 2 weeks he needs time but there is no certainty he will become a player. He did look small out there today.

You obviously don't spend enough time studying individual posters. If you did, you would understand that Markfs is not always what he may seem. Stop letting your relationships and prejudices dictate your posts. There is nothing exquisite about your mates at the moment. Are you saying that just because I hide behind a computer and make kneejerk calls for players to be unceremoniously tossed out of the team without being given a fair chance, that I wouldn't make the same calls if I was facing the players in question? I'd like you to know that I'm like a lot of people who post in the forum. We are passionate supporters of the team and we make judgements in the forum after losses that many people dont agree with. However, our gutlessness should never be questioned. As for skills, I like players who can get the ball nicely as well as dispose of it nicely....

I'm a little confused about being dragged into this infarction between two posters. I just wanted to deny any knowledge of Manic Magpie. I've never had any sort of relationship with that poster.... not that I'm saying that it isnt perfectly reasonable for two males to engage in a relationship of some sort...so I hope any passing moderator doesn't interpret my denial as some sort of side-swipe on people who engage in such activities...and proceed to ban me. The two games he did play he was completely ineffectual. Nothing wrong with being made to earn his spot back.

To be fair for his debut against the Dogs he only found out the morning of the game, and that was after playing almost three quarters in the VFL just the day before.

For the second game it was up against the experienced and mature bodies of the Hawks. He definitely could have done more after coming on relatively early when Langdon was concussed, but many of our guys struggle against the physical nature and skill level of Hawthorn.

It's a big ask of anyone to come on and impact as the sub, let alone in their only two games under those less than ideal circumstances. But similar to Kennedy who's grabbed his chance as a starter I'd like to see Broomy get a full game as well to show what he's capable of. Think he will be very impressive

For a 20yo? Playing against men in the 2nd best comp in the land.....I'd say he's progressing well. I'm excited to see him in the next couple of years develop into (hopefully) a real quality afl standard mid
