What are you talking about?? What a stupid uneducated post. We traded pick 19 + our second rounder for a 33 year old riddled with injury problems.

I don’t know if such a trade has ever happened before. We paid massive overs.

If west coast care about the family well being of poor kelly, they can pay fair value to bring him home.
The AFL will be all over this. They can't afford another Mccarthy.

They will order you to pull your heads in.

They have belittled him in the media and really behaved like a jealous ex girlfriend during the whole saga.

Its been insanely unprofessional so far.

Id like to think Kelly has seen the current approach and just went home never to return. Id never turn back up to work after the treatement he has gotten from Geelong the last 2 weeks

No respect or class
What? Show me an example because I've seen no such thing.

What complete garbage. Geelong has every right to take the stance they have. Any club would do the same.

Ahh no they would not. Eagles did not take the same stance with Gaff or Lycett. We let them be and let them make their own decisions. We didnt pressure, bully them and behave like neanderthals all day about it

What will it be then? The only way I see it getting done is if you give up a player as you don't have the pick to get it done in my opinion.
We have plenty of picks. Just no mythical top 5 picks that won't eventuate.

The trade could get done with the currency we have. Remains to be seen if it happens early, is drawn out all week or doesn't happen at all.

What has Geelong said about Kelly in the media that is belittling? Below is their released statement:
"As is well known, Tim is under contract to the Cats for the 2019 season, and it is highly likely he will remain with the club.
However out of respect for Tim, we will listen to what Fremantle and West Coast are prepared to offer and determine whether or not we believe it is a viable trade for our club."

Don't confuse BF supporters with the club.

Fair enough. A top 5 pick is outrageous, I would not expect that.

Probably a pick between 12-15 is fair though which is why I brought up Brander. Time will tell I guess; should be an interesting trade.

That part is irrelevant completely. Im more along the lines of "He isnt going anywhere whether he likes it or not" like lack of understanding.
We have made it clear that we are open to discussions with west coast. It is all up to west coast to come up with a good quality trade that is fair for geelong.

The message is it’s up to west coast to come to the table and give us a fair deal for him.

Not some shit second round pick and steak knives

Both are free agents, what have they got to do with anything? Also, geelong aren't doing any of those things in any way.

West Coast have previously been involved in a trade that included a highly rated rookie forward that hadn't achieved much. Given how well JK turned out, I don't think they would like being on the other end of a trade like that.
Brander was pick 13 last year and is a 19 year old tall. Some people think Kelly is now worth significantly more because he had a great 2018.

That's not really how it works, though. If Brander had been around a couple of years and done nothing then his value would drop off, but we drafted him at pick 13 for a reason. He's made no request to be traded and his value certainly hasn't dropped to steak knives level.

How is Geelong a disgusting club? Tim asked for a trade and by all reports the Cats are willing to play ball
Relax...
I think the Sunday arvo drinking session at the pub has just concluded....
Some are on the internet just before they fall asleep on the couch me thinks.

They haven't finalised a trade but I think it would be incredibly naive to think they haven't already had serious discussions on the topic.
I imagine these discussions have been going on for a couple of months. Kelly's request to explore trade options would not have come as a surprise to either club.

We don't have pick 12-15, but can match that in points for whatever that is worth. Apparently not much to a lot of people.

Brander was pick 13 and if he requested a trade to Victoria would be a begrudging potential trade. But Brander + a borderline Rd1/Rd2 pick is silly.

Sorry to make the dumb rediculous post that playing great football increases your value.

What a rediculous thing to say happens.

Won’t ever assume such a thing again.

First you said that playing in a bottom club means your not worth much as a player, now your saying playing great football doesn’t increase your value.

Any other wonderful logics Scotland??
