It took a bit longer and a bit more than we were hoping for, but 2019 All-Australian midfielder and back to back runner-up Carji Greeves Medalist Tim Kelly has today joined the club in a landmark trade from Geelong.

The trade sees West Coast give up pick 14, 24, 33 (to Essendon) and our 2020 first rounder, with Tim Kelly, pick 57 and Geelong’s 2020 3rd round selection coming back.

Kelly has taken the previously vacant #11 guernsey last worn by Brownlow Medalist and club legend Matthew Priddis. The guernsey was retired for the 2018 season as a mark of respect for the departing Priddis. It was made active again for the 2019 season but left vacant due to Kelly’s expected arrival.

Welcome Tim! I hope you love your time at the club, that your family is happier and that you can pick up a few medals 😀😀

Glad he's here but gonna be a bit of pressure on him seeing as we mortgaged the farm for him.
Welcome Tim.

Over the moon! We had to pay up for his services and I think it’s worth it due to our premiership window being open, great to see us keep the foot down for another flag chance. Can’t wait for Round 1!

******* come at us AFL 2020.

If you could sum up our efforts in 2019 with one word, it would probably be 'lethargic'.

This signing will get the boys up and about for next year, and really believing they can go again. This is huge.
