Whats the difference between last years request and this years because of compassionate grounds?

And there is obviously levels of need. Family struggling and would rather be home. Life would be much easier but not a desperate situation. The want to move for family support is real but for the longer term benefits thaeystayed another year.

Nothing strange about that. Happens all the time with young families.

The difference is TK has now completed his first contract. Trying to leave town after literally 12 months to go to your specific club of choosing is laughable, really.

His 2 year commitment is now complete, Geelong will be a lot more receptive.

Oh ok. I misunderstood. I thought you were saying the compassionate grounds were BS last year but understandable now.

Just swap the firsts and leave the seconds out of it

This is a terrible deal. Hill is going nowhere. The Cats don’t want him, they want to retain Kelly at all costs. Frank Costa has offered to build him two homes. One for his family and one for his misses family.

TK for Hilly and Freo’s 1st will probably get it done, it’s the equivalent to a 1st and 2nd round pick for TK. A bit under but oh well.

Not sure if you're trolling or not. In what world is a contracted Brad Hill worth a 2nd round pick.

I’d value Hill as a first rounder, hence Hill plus their first for Kelly. Two first round picks.
Hill turns 27 half way through next year. I'd be sick if we traded or contra'd a 1st rd pick for a flake that changes his mind every 2 years. Somehow he's enhanced his reputation at Freo from when he was traded to them coming INTO his prime.

Any 1st rd picks we earn or acquire we need to play 200 games not 80. Maybe if Selwood, Hawkins and Danger were 27. Not when they are 30 plus.

Just love how these WCE supporters thought Kelly was a walk-up to their club next season...

Now that Hill is leaving, Freo is a potential destination club for Kelly..

Hope he stays though.
Why would he all of a sudden select freo?

Interesting that Hill’s partner wants to go back to Melbourne, not Geelong. I have no idea where she is from in Melbourne but that drive from Melbourne to Geelong will get most people depressed. Not sure Hill will agree on that drive.

Hill might be the catalyst if say he goes to Essendon and Parish goes to Geelong. What extra compensation needed to Geelong will be interesting. Whether TK can lead the midfield in the next 2 months will dictate that.

Brad Hill is worth a 1st rounder, whether or not he wants to go to Geelong remains to be seen, but if he wants back to Melbourne, I've no doubt he'll find a suitor willing to pay him his money and give up a 1st rounder. Freo then have ample trade assets, better then WCE, to do the deal for Kelly, along with more scope then WCE to pay Kelly what he's worth.

If Kelly really wants back to Perth on compassionate grounds, not just because he wants to play for WCE, then he'll get there.

Both of the Hills whose family apparently has some kind of beef with Caitlins family will possibly be gone.
Peter Bell who he is apparently friendly with has moved to Freo
Brady Rawlings, the guy making Tim the offers last year, has moved to North.
Freos key players being younger than WCE.

There are plenty of reasons to select both sides tbh

Well after last nights game does anyone need to be convinced why Kelly isnt interested in Freo and why the Eagles are his preference?
