This. He didn't have a great night because of a few unlucky bounces and sliding door moments. Was a bit fumbly at times because of that I think. But if a few of those went the other way we would be singing his praises. Not as dominant as I would have hoped but a solid season so far.

I'm not too fussed about Tim's game last night. His weakness is always going to be when he gets the ball in the back half, or is defending, but even then he had a couple of solid moments last night.

First few rounds I reckon he gobbles up those ground balls and goals but it wasn't his night in that regard. Suspect the 9 day break does him wonders this week.

Goes without saying he's supposed to play with one or both of McStay and Checkers but here we are. He's not that tall and he's essentially playing tall. He had a couple of good sacrificial moments last night where he let Elliott get the footy, which can easily go unnoticed.

I feel he works perfectly within our structure. Tall enough to take a contested mark and pinch hit ruck in fwd line when talls are scarce, Small enough to crumb and apply pressure. Has elite forward craft , a good kick for goal and knows his role. Doesn't get in the way and provides decoy leads . He'll have his occasional day out and his occasional quiet one, but I've noticed even in the quiet ones he's always trying to do the right things and seems absolutely stoked to be playing for us.

Recruited as depth and more than playing his role. Probably the most reliable set shot on the list.

But is vulnerable to going back to the seconds should his form drop off as our injured players return, especially if West keeps banging the door down.

Yes, I feel at times he lacks creativity in congestion, gets caught holding the ball a fair bit..and it can be a little demoralising when the ball then moves the length of the field for an opposition score.

I also feel he holds the play up too, great mark which is his strength but will often not move the ball on quickly by hand instead opting to consume time and kick....which would be okay if he was a good inside fifty kick but he is not!
