Always been a quality player

I don’t buy that he’s been brought in as depth and will toil away in the VFL

They’ll fit all of mihocek, mcstay, Elliot, Hill, Schultz and Membrey into a forward line

I think they’ll go to a one ruck model and mcstay will be spare ruck

It may be the model they'll go to even though we have used to two ruck model for years.
But even if he had been bought in for depth, that's not a bad thing either given the age of our key forwards and the injuries they have had. There is no guarantee they'll keep on the park.

Nah! A fit Coxy is a must in our line up. We don't want our injury prone Dan doing any ruck work. Cameron needs the support from a genuine ruckman. Membrey will get his opportunities. The players in the best form will be selected. Simple.

I have a sneaky suspicion that Membrey will effectively replace Checkers. They'll try Checkers, McStay, Membrey and Cox and realise it's top heavy and Checkers will be the one to make way.

I could see that if Checkers is needed in defence but he’s not making way out of the team.

If we do end up in a situation where we need to chose between McStay, Mihocek and Membrey we should consider ourselves very fortunate.

There are only 2 rounds out of the whole 2023 and 2024 seasons where all 3 players played. They were rounds 22 and 23 in 2023. All other rounds had one or more of those players miss.

For most of his time at the Saints our delivery inside 50 has been woeful.

To be fair I don’t even think the delivery was the issue

If anything it was more the stodgier overly defensive game style

I don’t think he gets to a pretty consistent 30-35 goals with terrible delivery

He might actually feel invigorated and love footy again after getting out of St Kilda, and decide to play on as long as he can. We don't know these people and it's silly to guess at what's going on with them internally.
