I was hoping we would have picked him up in his draft year. Remember reading a write up suggesting he could potentially transition into the midfield.

I was one of the few who was genuinely excited about him when we grabbed him while many were saying he'd be depth

I was pretty adamant that I didn't feel he'd be depth. He was simply too good to be depth.

Currently applies to AFLW players too as far as I know but you have to assume it’ll eventually change with some arbitrary games number applied to qualify. Be years before it’s tested although I assume some of the inaugural players would’ve already had kids, so maybe not that long.
