Like all great sides there has to be time when either the game plan gets worked out or father time catches up with the side, for example the West Coast Eagles.
North can no longer play the impact style of football we have in the past. Lets face it Wayne is thirty (numerous injuries) and is playing in the hardest place on the ground. For Dennis to say all we need to do is get back to the basics is a liitle simple.
Why not play Corey on a wing or Motlop on the ball or back pocket, play Lindsay Smith in the ruck for at least a few games

I agree about Corey. His best footy was played in 1996 when he played in the ruck, but got a lot of the ball around the wing, and drifting to the forward and back flanks.
In theory, he has the perfect qualities for a link man : he is fairly agile, is a long kick and can take a mark. Needing a tall opponent, rather than the average wingman type, it will drag an opposition tall out to the wing where the opposition tall should not be as adaptable as Corey (in theory, remember).
