Isn't it time to give ben holland the axe now? did you see him miss the goal from 10 metres out straight in front. what an embarrassment!! someone tell me why it isn't paul johnson or jamar we are using as forward pocket to stretch teams for height. seriously, wouldn't he be better with them rotating forward pocket instead of holland???

Holland has been ok since coming into the side yes he misses a few easy shots he would be a lot better than Jamar and P.Johnson down there thats for sure.

na we need dutchy this week just to occupy a defender, otherwise there will be someone roaming the backline taking easy marks and weak posessions like leppitch or chad cornes

but all in all there is no room for him in the team, especially wen neitz is down there!!

Did you see Aaron Davey do the same thing?

Holland spanked De Luca early on. Jamar & Johnson aren't forwards on what i've seen of them.

your kidding urself if u think u know footy BT. my point is why would we put someone up forward who is slow and can't apply any pressure, can't take contested marks and for fuc*k sake can't kick for goal.
Hence my point being Jamar or Johnson would be just as good if not better. Holland is hopeless. Why would u have a forward who can't kick for goal? it would be like having a defender who can't fuc*kin punch !!!

Riiiiight.

I think you'll find Dutchy has kicked more goals than he has missed this year.

His mobility has improved, he still is pretty slow but he is no longer a statue.

Jamar is doing fine as our backup ruckman and isn't capable of playing good footy in the forward pockect, same with PJ for that matter.

At the moment Holland is providing a target and taking one of the oppositions key defenders, that's all we should ask of him.

dutchy actually is good for our forward setup

he needs a tall, strong defender on him and he acts well as a decoy for neitz.

i think u are going a bit overboard just cos he missed that goal. like someone here previously said, remember the one from 50 metres out near the boundary. i was sitting on the opposite side and i saw the melbourne cheer squad go up and i was like "no....he can't have"

can't take a contested mark for ********?? you're kidding... dutchy as taken some great contested marks for us... and he has had some terrible kicks at goal, but he's also had some very good ones...

he stays in this week... to be reassessed when rivers is back... i think miller may play down back this week...

Had to laugh watching White Line Fever on Fox tonight. Some Melbourne blonk supporter rang in and was quick to let them know he thought he had the right footy smarts and was about to let Neale know on what should be done with 1 Ben Holland. Before he could get it out he was cut off and Neale Danniher started defending Dutchy. Was quick to say how he has been playing with an injury and how the Dee's would have been alot worse off if he wasn't there while Neitz has been injured. Food for thought, your coach likes him.

After last night's performance he deserves a spot in our best 22 easily. He kicked three, but things like the smother on Graham shows he does plenty of one-percenters which really help out. Having him down there also helps Neitz and takes pressure off him.

Holland has been great all year his kicking can let him down sometimes but thats way he is. I think if melb are going to have a chance for the flag we need Holland in the team so we can have 3 tall marking forwards.
