Outside of some assistant coaching changes, i think it's time to have a look at moving on from Brady. We might look at promoting Thursfield. But if not, we need an out of the box thinker. Someone unconventional who hasn't come from a large club where it was easy to attract talent through traditional strategies and utilising the club brand. We also dying for someone who has some charisma and sell the vision to the supporters and potential players. A good communicator. I'd be looking at Adrian Caruso from the Giants. Offering him an elevated role as EGM List and Strategy

In this decade we haven’t finished any higher than 2nd last at seasons end. This year we look destined to at best finish 4 last. We could still finish 2nd last again. For 6 years we have been terrible. It is the worst North Melbourne we have seen in our lifetimes. Yet you’re having a shot at bitter and irrational supporters? All supporters have a right to be bitter after what we have gone through for the last 6 years. As for irrational, in what way have supporters been irrational? :stern look

What has Barlow done to get the love he gets from our supporters? I would be keen to get Phillips and Duursmas opinion on him and how they have developed the last two years under him.

Rawlings has to go. Is a big reason why we are where we are. Simple.

We aren't getting Mark Williams.

Thursfield probably gets one more draft but needs to nail it.

The development of our young guns (1st rounders) has mostly been the crap. Can't see any of them becoming top shelf absolute guns ala the level of Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Judd, Ablett, Bontempelli, etc. These types win you the premierships. It's a common theme at North, they show promise at the start then they slowly get 'Norffed' or become injury prone. To me most have not shown the absolute mongrel and desire to become truly elite. They're all introverted, happy to be AFL player types. I have some hope for FOS though and Wardlaw if he can get his body right. All these 1st rounders the past decade and no real impact. Jy, Luke, Dursmaa, Phillips, Powell mostly disappointing, LDU too hot and cold, Sheezel should be dominating now but is becoming vanilla. We are easy to play against and just plain soft. Maybe a bit brutal but just my opinion. So yeah maybe we should look at our coaching panel ...

I went to the WA games including the training day at East Fremantle Oval.

I was in the grandstand and a posse of NMFC officials plonked themselves directly behind me headed by Todd Viney. Shaun Marsh was with the group also.

Two officials in particular spoke incessantly to each other about two young players on the list.
The first was W Dawson. Pretty sure I heard the word beast more than once and hasn't his stocks risen since then.

However, the player that was spoken about in even more glowing terms was Matt Whitlock with repeated references to his athleticism and foot skills. Fair to say the wraps on him internally are huge.

I wouldn't be sacking anyone for that trade yet just quietly.

Knowing our mob, they've probably got the Whitlocks confused, and are looking at the training notes of Jack.
