• Due to holes in the list rather than what players chosen, and the trading first out last year, prob Rawlings.

If we were to be more hardcore....Longmire in for Clarko or Simmo but that might be for end of 2026 if above changes, changes nothing. May not be the best thing to do to change yet another coach again...yet but if we hadn't done so many coach changes the past few years I would definitely do that this year. I have seen enough of Clarko.

Players unsure....want to see the end of season yet.

In this decade we haven’t finished any higher than 2nd last at seasons end. This year we look destined to at best finish 4 last. We could still finish 2nd last again. For 6 years we have been terrible. It is the worst North Melbourne we have seen in our lifetimes. Yet you’re having a shot at bitter and irrational supporters? I am pissed with the Daniel trade, we got screwed and continue to get screwed every week he plays.

While l'm not disappointed in getting him , if he's form is not up to it then he needs to be dropped like most of the other players and then has to earn his spot back in the team...

At the time, I was actually an advocate for him getting the senior gig. Anyway, Duck Yeah cops a bit of shit on here, but s/he is right. There has to be some accountability. People say it's 6 years or whatever but the fact is we haven't played finals for 10 and haven't won a flag for 26, there are people being paid to ensure that that doesn't happen. Clearly there needs to be change.

As an assistant Simmo has no say in Rawlings job. If him taking a role is dependant on Rawlings keeping his then that’s a red flag.

As shit as West Coast were at the end, he still got them a flag.

I use Simmo as the example as the pull of going back to the club you played at should be stronger than someone that hasn’t had any involvement with the club.

But if you can find an experienced assistant that is strong enough to also challenge Clarko and is happy to come to North, then start talking to them now.

Clarko seemed to always be at his best at Hawthorn when he he strong assistants around him, Fagan etc.

Sometimes even good people need that strong voice around them to keep them in check and challenge their ideas. I have no idea because I’m not in the inner sanctum, but I get the feeling what Clarko says pretty much goes with this current coaching group. Groups with one strong voice only are never as effective as groups with a strong leader who has others around them challenging their ideas.

There is a huge issue that a lot of players dont move enough up the ground to find a pocket of space. He’ll hit ya with the footy. He had 3 turnovers for the game against Melbourne? Something like that.
