Do you think I’m a Jy fan?

My point is Will is not an AFL footballer even at a club as bad as us.
Look at all our talent that is going backwards? You dont think these fellas that have regressed wouldn’t thrive elsewhere? Of course they bloody would. Will might turn out what we wanted him to be at another club. Good luck to him.

Anyway, on topic. On the list above? Who needs to go?

The NMFC bubble

People don't realise is there is such a thing as toxic or negative positivity

We have covered our group with cuddles and affirmation that we have turned into dreamers. We have no idea, we are actually delusional on where we at because our development is based of fake affirmation or "everything is positive" la la land that isn't based in reality, its based off feelings.

There should have been ZERO smiles last week. They should have called a meeting immediately after the game, with the coach and tore them to shreds on the actual reality but no, instead we got the love and cuddles.

Its destroying our fabric of the club IMO

Honestly couldn’t agree more. I understand teaching and learning methods. Catch more flys with honey than vinegar etc and how some will respond better to harsh criticism and others wont but on saturday night, EVERYONE should have been blasted, doors slammed, family not in the rooms. Hard harsh lesson and should have been on the track Sunday at 5am, told the performance knob to go **** himself, its happening

This year no doubt, it will 5 years in a row, finishing on the bottom 2

BTW worst record in the history of the AFL.

How. Could. Anyone. Keep their job? Or at least be reviewed? Have been brainwashed that heavily?

We are all dreaming if you think it’s just going to click and start shifting. The damage is done, **** these off that don’t have that tough, shinboner spirit.

Anything today? Just crickets? No one from the club come out and said “we dont stand for this” “we are deeper in shit than we thought” “there will be massive changes with the team” NOTHING???? Wow!
It’s the North Melbourne way. We are a vanilla club we stand for nothing, we do nothing , we are nothing.

So… fully expecting something resembling a full review regarding the F1 pick trade at the end of the season.

I.E accountability, who authorized it, who was the architecht. Then proportionate action to those responsible.

Heard absolutely boo regarding it in the media. They clearly don’t want to just pile further fuel in the dumpster fire.

If the board can’t address this as an absolute minimum, they can all resign as far as I’m concerned. The person who strategized this is still at the club…and could do something just as catastrophic this offseason

Anyone involved has proven completely out of their depth. The average North fan recognised this as a complete disaster with no margin for error.

If it was Clarkson. Bye.

If it was Rawlings. Bye.

I really don’t care, whoever it was can’t be at the football club next year.

This is question for people who know the draft better than I do. Is there a tall this year that we could pick that would be better the Whitlock? If so bad trade, if not I don't care so much

It’s a rubbish argument.

Properly planned, 99/100 the club has Whitlock and it’s future pick at the end of draft night.

If they rated him so highly, why not position themselves earlier.

A series of catastrophic decisions by a coach and back room team under pressure to perform. The boards entire purpose is to provide oversight to short term decisions like this by individuals making decisions in self interest.

A series of events I’m sure they are about to repeat. They are 100% going to trade future picks to kick this mistake down the road for another year and possibly another coach/list manager.

That and the pick 25 for Daniel trade
They are linked imo as we didn’t have a second rounder to pick a KPP so had to use our future first (top 4 pick) to

We’ve given up pick 2 and 25 for Whitlock, Daniel and a second rounder

You are probably right, but I don't care about picks I care about the players we get. Draft years aren't even and this year is especially compromised. So if Whitlock is better than any tall this year that is available to the open draft then it is less of a stuff up.

To be fair though, it is still a crap trade, we should have got more for a pick 2 regardless of the draft

That Daniel trade for 25 is so laughably bad. Forget hindsight, anyone at that time could see it clear as day. And we’re probably the only 1/18 clubs that would be dumb enough to sign off on it.

Follow that up with trading pick 2 for 27 and a future 2nd. Boy oh boy we take stupid to new levels.

I am loathe to use the draft points as a point of reference. However......

Pick 2 (2481 pts)

for
pick 27 (533 pts)
pick 21 (721 pts)

To facilitate this it cost us the equivalent of pick 11 (1254 pts)

Anyone who can justify the above cost is wilfully ignoring the situation we are in.

We as a club cannot ask for more assistance. The assistance that we got was incredibly watered down. However there will be no more forth coming. So we need to be precise with the resources we do have.

I like Whitlock and I have absolute faith in the kid. I hope he is the second coming of Carey. However we could have gotten him and not cost ourselves the equivalent of pick 11 to get there.

It is mismanagement of the limited resources we have at our disposal.

We over paid for a bloke that could not even publicly come out and say he wanted to get to us and as a result we will pay for this three times.
  • 25 was too much.
  • trading our first was too high to replace 25
  • we didn't even get fair value for what the f1 we traded was.

someone needs to wear it for the above.
