As a relative newcomer to BF I was surprised at first to see ''Campaigner'' used as a swear filter avoider. Thought it was kinda lame , but as time went on I could appreciate it.
NO LONGER
The meeja have now stolen it. 1st it was BT on a Friday Night Football call with '' Ahh the Old Campaigner still has it'' , then tonight on 5AA ( ok I know you hate Rowie) Eddie McGuire signs off by saying '' yeah us old campaigners have to do something' followed by Rowie using the term campaigner back to Eddie.
ENOUGH
So you have a problem GreyCrow but whats the solution?
Glad you asked. The Adelaide Club Board has been trialling a new word which has gained some serious cred , so much so we now have silly fellow of the Week award thread.
So BigFooty time to tell the meeja campaigners to go forth and multiply
silly fellow is the word from now on.
