Matty Priddis has been dominating and i considered trading at 400,000 but thought against it when cousins went down again, now he has dropped to 362,200 with a B/E of 147. With the return of cousins and kerr this week it will surely mean less game time... is it time to upgrade (downgrade) to one of:

Leigh Montagna $377,900
Cam Bruce $371,000
Jimmy Bartel $361,200

Kane Cornes $359,600
Scott West $328,500
Simon Goodwin $309,800
Brent Stanton
$296,700

My mids atm are:
Nick Malceski
Joel Selwood

Scott Thompson
Nigel Lappin
Matt Priddis
Daniel Kerr
Simon Black (emg)
Martin Clarke (emg)

What are your thoughts? (price is not an issue) 122,000 in bank. 6 trades left.

If you don't need the money then I don't see a reason to trade Priddis. It is unlikely he will get any less game time at all - and even if his tog is reduced slightly his dt scores won't decline.

If the cash was really needed, then I don't see the problem with trading out Priddis (although it should've been done when he was +400k) to make some money to spend on upgrading other players.
But in this case I think any trade would be unnecessary.

Yeah thats fair enough, getting some cash to upgrade others would be the only reason you would do this trade. Otherwise its just a useless sideways trade.

im trading out priddis this round for either kcornes or bartel.

priddis has served me well, but i want a gun midfield like cornes or bartel to give me a good captain choice.

i can see priddis averaging 80 from now on out, but i want a player who is capable of big 130+ scores as well.

From memory i thought Priddis scored the highest DT score this year with 166? There is a reason why the kid was over $400K, he can score points. Is there anyone else you can upgrade instead of him?

If you've got worse midfielders, get rid of them. Priddis is still a good player and gets plenty of the ball. However, if you are unsatisfied with him, Kornes and Bartel are very cheap

priddis is my weakest centre at the moment

my centres consist of:

Macdonald, corey, power, lappin, kerr, priddis (gibbs, armitage)

i think Kane or Bartel will give me a significant boost in points.

Out of all those i would have Kerr as your worst midfielder easily.

If Priddus is your weakest centre you don't have much to complain about! If you feel you have to trade to improve your team I'd be looking at other areas in your team.

I think that wouldn't be a bad option. Jonathon Brown is up against the Blues this weekend. I can't see Barry Hall getting over 100 again this year BUT I would hold off and not pull the trigger. I had some depth in my bench and then Petterd and Alwyn Davey went in the same weekend and Judd has a more serious injury than he was letting on. Suddenly those trades become more valuable.
