I've watched alot of documentaries on this in the past few months and it IS possible apparently. Although with regards to travelling BACK in time, it may be that you can only go back to the date it was invented. Meaning, we couldn't go to our past but if time travel is invented in 10 years then in 20 it could be possible to go back 10 years. One theory anyway.

Through the worm hole - is time travel possible - great documentary. :thumbsu:

Yep, I've heard that too, but when you think about it, that's really just looking into the future. Think of it from the perspective of having just invented the time machine. You can't go backwards from that point, but it will immediately start receiving information (that's what is theorised will be able to be sent, not necessarily actual people) being sent back from the future.... so you're actually just communicating with the future.

If it was ever done, however, it would be very, very cool. We'd be able to see causal paradoxes in action for real, rather than just thinking about them and wondering.

That footage is quite freaky. The old woman is definately holding something in her left hand, you can see how her fingers are wrapped around it, looks like how someone would hold a mobile phone. When she turns her head, you can see her lips move which indicate that she is talking to someone/thing.

Not that I believe it is a time traveller, but still interesting to watch nevertheless.

Had a good look at that video today. It's quite interesting, and while I'm usually a sucker for such stories, there are just too many possible answers.

I'm not saying it's a marketing campaign for something, but it would be a brilliant viral campaign. All the elements are there in the right doses.

theoretically, we can achieve time travel now. just build a really big space ship with a lot of fuel and go. it would take approx 6 years to reach 99.99% speed of light. at this speed, one day on the ship would be equivalent to a year passing on earth.

Ah, no. As you approach the speed of light your weight heads towards infinity. So it's actually theoretically impossible to travel physically that fast, let alone in a "really big spaceship with a lot of fuel"

Has anyone actually verified that the "premiere" footage is real, and not something recorded much more recently?
I assume that the lack of a media outlet buying it and finding it is a fake is the evidence of that.

As has been said, time traveling forward it reasonably easy, you can call astronauts time travelers, even if they only did so by micro seconds.

It's theorised that it would take an infinite, impossible, amount of energy to time travel to the past, and even then it would probably cause a singularity.

and yeah that vid is pretty weird but a time traveler is the least likely answer, it's like people who believe in ghosts if a light bulb explodes or a door slams.

The person in the video looks disturbingly like a man wearing high heels

Good pick up by the filmmaker presenting the youtube video. Just a couple of inconspicuous seconds in en entire film of just a single extra, with the way our minds are programmed in the modern world, to pick that up and really study it and expose it for what it is fair observation.

Seriously though, I'd go back to the first time I ever blew my load.

Nostalgia fap for the win

so iphones sized phones are still being used when time travel is masted, might buy some apple stocks, "iphones the choice of all time travellers".
I don't think they are going to make touch screens much smaller, people already complain about how hard it is the type on the iPhone vertically

Does anyone actually have any comments re the video.

Yes. The guy in the video is a ******* and an attention whore. During the entire vid, he's plugging the fact that he makes movies. He's even standing in front of a framed marquee poster of a crap indy flick he made. So he's sensationalizing a small clip from a film made 80 years ago which, at best, is mildly interesting in order to draw attention to himself and perhaps secure a job making another movie. Unfortunately all he does is come across as a *******.

That doesn't mean the equally dipshitty dipshits in Hollywood wouldn't take an interest in him though. So it's a fair move on his part.

And that's my comment on the video. Anyone else?
