I don't know how some of you guys do it? I've been called good looking all my life. I'm no Brad Pitt but good looking enough to do modelling and ads in my twenties, and I probably look better now at 33. But I get no matches or likes on any of these apps. Have had the girl mates in my life confirm that my profile is good.

I'm not picky either, I'm not just swiping on girls out of my league. Has online dating completely killed the dating market? It's competely ****ed with my self esteem. I'm talking 0 likes and matches, not even a few.

I've taken the route of asking friends if they know any single ladies and using that approach. Works much better than the apps. At least you have mutual friends and your buddies can give you a glowing recommendation.

I used to find female friends would be able to give the best recommendations, women probably take more stock in another female's opinion I guess.

A friends missus of mine who I've only met a handful of times gave me a glowing recommendation. Led to a date which led to... you know the rest.

I reckon it's a good approach. My last relationship was a friend of a friend.

Well yeah that's how I met my wife I guess so I'd agree. I got friend zoned a couple of times back in the day but on the plus side they always had mates they were trying to set you up with.

But my biggest problem was I would match with guys and they would say they wanted a relationship so I would go on a date with them thinking that there would be potential, only to find out all they wanted was a root or fwb. I was upfront and honest with what I wanted. If they just wanted a root I would have appreciated they just tell me so I wouldn't waste my time.

My last boyfriend I met at a funeral of all places lol.

Go to your nearest beach and take a photo (shirtless if in good shape) with the nicest looking boat there. Act like it's yours and the matches will come in

That's what I always thought. Why would you want a woman who just sees you for what you can do for her instead of someone who sees you as someone to share her life with.

I would much prefer a man who I can share life with and enjoy the small things with.
I would like the guy I end up with to be employed but I don't care about their income level. I work Full time and can provide for myself.

I agree 100%, like I say fairly early on in the piece be honest what are you looking for, and then go from there but 99% of girls say I don't know lol, i am just going with things

My 3 relationship/datings all broke me in some way

1. Cheated and abused me
2. Dated for 2 months she cheated
3. Dated for 9 months then she went nah i am done with this one my Birthday, just a few days after saying she could see us being together for ever

The problem is a good girl gets broken gets the DILLIGAF attitude then they hurt a good guy cycle repeats

You have to weed them out longer, most don't want to play the long game. Some can't. They give themselves away easily.

I'm off the apps/dating and focusing on me. Getting super swiped by other girls inflates my ego.

One of my fwb's invited herself over today. Was nice, actually.

I know it's hard for guys and easy mode for girls. The app I'm developing will fix all that. No algorithms, no paywalls. All free and feature rich. I just need time.

Honestly, the best thing I’ve found is just enjoying life, doing things on my own and just striking up conversation organically and I’ve had a lot more success. I also go into a lot of things not expecting alot and just enjoying that date or moment etc.

I think that’s the best way to approach it and that weight you put into it will dissipate.
