I don't know how some of you guys do it? I've been called good looking all my life. I'm no Brad Pitt but good looking enough to do modelling and ads in my twenties, and I probably look better now at 33. But I get no matches or likes on any of these apps. Have had the girl mates in my life confirm that my profile is good.

I'm not picky either, I'm not just swiping on girls out of my league. Has online dating completely killed the dating market? It's competely ****ed with my self esteem. I'm talking 0 likes and matches, not even a few.

Simple supply and demand will cause this. When you've got many more buyers (men) than sellers (women) in any market it creates artificial demand and higher prices. In online Apps this equates to, where in the 'real world' you'd expect guys that are a 7 to get a girl 6-8 usually (unless rich or famous) and vice versa. Since guys are much more on these apps you've instead got girls that are a 7 getting guys that are a 9 or 10 chasing them, why would they look at a 'mere 7'? Guys that are a 7 then are going for 4 - 6's, along with swiping right on every girl that's a 7 or 8 in hope. Short of some massive change where many guys hop off these apps or a bunch of girls hop on, so the numbers get close to even it's not going to change. Makes me glad I'm not competing in this game.

I have a feeling my standards were too low.

Don't stink, be able to see your own genitals and at least have a job.

I think I might have to raise the bar a little bit lol.

Yep. It is as it is. If you don’t want to be an incel and don’t like it, then accept you need to have something to stand out from the crowd. Either get in shape or get wealthier. Since we can’t do much about getting better looking, these are the only two real game changers. Yeah once you’ve met someone personality and humour can come into effect, but they are hard to convey to people online, especially in a short blurb to make someone intrigued and get a foot in the door.

This is why I don't online date anymore.

All of the guys I've had a connection with I've met in real life and I wouldn't say they were the best looking roosters in the pack but they had confidence.

I like my guys more solid/chunky. I guess dad bod is my thing.(not obese), so I'm already not looking for the top 10 percent.

Confidence and a good personality is a massive thing for me. Looks might be initial spark but if there is nothing between the ears and you're only with someone because they are attractive; that relationship is doomed to fail.
Although one guy I did have a thing with I wasn't initially attracted too but the attraction grew after I got to know him.

Wealth doesn't worry me because I've always been independent and a hard worker, I just want someone who isn't a leech and can contribute.

This is the issue with online dating. Unless we have an initial attraction, we don't give people much of a go.

I find a girl from my work attractive purely because she's a great bird. She isn't visually attractive and I would swipe no on the apps to her but after working with her for 6-7 years she is an attractive, good person. She's getting married though :tearsofjoy:

Tinder bringing in some new rules

No social media links in bios
No screen shots of messages
No looking for sugar daddies
No couple accounts

There goes about 50 per cent of girls

As they should.
I think women have unrealistic standards is more accurate

I've been called fat by girls much fatter then me, and I've seen girls in real life cat fishing on tinder there is a girl I work who would be over 100 kgs the photos on tinder are her skinny and in a bikini

I think people just need to be more honest I

Not a bad thing. I wonder if a decline in subscriptions has forced them to make some changes.

I'm sure some just use tinder to screenshot messages for TikTok content, both guys and girls.
