Ok people, joined up the other day and have since had about 8 matches. Firstly, what is it with girls who swipe right on you and then don't message you? Is it generally accepted that the guy has to message first? I'm trying to avoid the whole "hi, how are you?" way to start a conversation so what are some tips on this?

Speaking from experience... The ones who don't respond to a simple 'Hey, how you going?' aren't worth worrying about.

Maybe chuck something in your bio like a joke or a question. Tends to get the fairer sex to initiate the convo.

Anyway, good luck. Plough your way through it until you find a keeper.

Over the past week or so, literally 95% of people that come up on mine show as being from a US college, and have fake-looking photos. I haven't changed my location either (because I don't pay for Tinder). Anyone else having this same issue?

It's festival season in Adelaide, and it's great weather and the perfect time to go for drinks or dates, but Tinder currently seems to be full of fake profiles!

Yep, not quite sure what's been happening.

Tinder is just like a dating site now. 90% of guys will have no luck.

In fact I'm not sure about Internet Dating. Is it a warped/superficial exercise?

Or under the cloak of anonymity is it really how people are and behave?

In which case all the gross traditional double standards would be true. I need to find a way to get off it. I realise it is the way of the world but it is off. But women simply do not reciprocate in Australia. Don't approach and don't respond/interact so men are left to take whatever option.

Ok, im heading to NZ for first time next weeked for a few nights. What should i write on my tinder profile when i hit the ground?

Aussie in NZ for a few days.

That enough?
Or add that my bucket list has '**** a kiwi' listed?

Go!
Bucket list.
