Did this earlier in the year and couldn't be happier. If you're after a genuine connection/long term relationship then dating apps are really just a bit depressing. Would honestly rather die single than spend lunchtime on the toilet swiping through photos.

Looking back it's really just stroking the ego more than anything. A numbers game
where a 4/10 female has probably 5 times as many options as a 7/10 male.
If you're name isn't Chad Thundercock good luck matching with anyone other than single mums/ fat chicks.

Single parents (dad or mum) are people doing a tough job and if not the usually untrue stereotype of popping them out for welfare, get a lot of undeserved grief. That said, if you're dating (as opposed to one night hook up) a single parent of either gender, whose the primary care giver you are taking on or if the single parent asking someone to take on, part of the parenting of kids. You aren't undateable, but for something beyond a casual shag you are going to have restricted your options.
