Come for the Tinder, stay for the Central and South American travel advice.

Tying the two together Argentina and Chile are excellent Tinder locations when travelling abroad. Bolivia you'll get a lot of matches as well, but it has an air of sadness to it as a lot of women are using the app to hopefully meet a foreigner to have a better life elsewhere.

If you're only in a city for a couple days do your groundwork early and use Tinder's passport functionality to 'travel' there a couple days before you arrive. That way by the time your flight touches down you're able to hit the ground running so to speak.

When Tinder passport was free in April I did some swiping in Chile and lets just say the country has risen up the list of where I want to travel next.

A few said I could stay with them while on my travels.

Friend of mine hyped up OKCupid for me last weekend. She said she got better matches on it than the standard Tinder and Bumble. I tried telling her dating apps are different for girls than guys but she insisted I used it.

So I downloaded it, answered a whole bunch of questions. Despite having a bunch of "likes" on it that I can't see unless I pay and running out of available swipes each day not a single match to be had

But it's so much better apparently

I have had way more luck using the free apps.

It's mostly a numbers game, the free apps have much more in the way of numbers.

That said, it's definitely totally different for men versus women. No matter what platform women use they'll be swimming in matches, so I guess something like eHarmony which costs someone $150 is probably going to attract people genuinely trying to date and not the Tinder hook-up types.

The trick to dating apps is being incredibly good looking. Personality doesnt matter.

So the best thing to do is get handsome.

I need to stop the sugar again. And get back to daily exercise. And no more snacks between meals.

Easy enough to do once I set my mind to it.

Ive never been inside a gym. Dont imagine I ever will.
Doesnt worry me-gyms not for everyone. Ive just always hated team sports, i like working out as an alternative to that.

Also like walking and swimming- for some more outdoor exercise.

COVID and working from home and crazy hours leavingme too tired to even think about exercise saw me add at least 5kg. Probably 6kg or 7kg.
Extra sleep in and WFH meant I was able to get outside more. Harder with work and a commute now
Tinder is leaking matches as everyone can go out now so those that flooded in have left.
