Does it automatically link to your facebook, bring anything up on it? :)
It's all through facebook, uses your profile and your facebook pictures, but nothing actually alerts anyone that you're on it.. I had the same worries myself when I first downloaded it, not that there was any real reason to, just didn't want all my facebook friends (ex girlfriend) to see/be aware.

People go to the pubs and sit on their phones these days. Technology has changed things.

hahahaha yes, people go to the pub and sit on Tinder to organise hook ups.

My friend explained Tinder to me like this, "it's better than internet dating because with internet dating you have to answer all these questions about finances, children, religious beliefs.... etc, which is information overload before the first date even. Whereas with Tinder it's more like meeting someone in a pub, you like the look of them, you flirt and get to know someone through interaction rather than collecting waaaaaaaay too much data before the first date."

So compared to internet dating it kicks the shit out of it.

If I understand this correctly, the app will automatically use my Facebook profile picture as my Tinder picture? And there will be no notification on Facebook that I am a Tinder user?

So, Tinder is the straight equivalent of Grindr?
Yes, but I'm pretty sure chicks can search for chicks and guys for guys. It isn't strictly straight.

Having browsed both dating sites and Tinder, straight up jiggidy wise, Tinder all the way. Actual dating, maybe a dating site (not that you cannot date off Tinder), but more likely to find 'partner' types on those.

I had a go at this with a fakebook profile and a random pic of a cartoon.

No luck so deleted.

This is not better than internet dating. Its just for shallow people.

It astounds me that people judge people on how they look as the only form of attraction.

Is it just for quick hookups?
You can find something longer term as evidenced by some of the posters in this thread, but I'm pretty sure it was designed for less meaningful and superficial short term flings. Those I know who are on it use it for hookups only.

Have had a bit of success with tinder. Hooked up with a few birds from it. Funniest thing to me has been matching with friends of my ex. A couple of them are more for a laugh but there's definitely a couple that I have no doubt I could smash if i pursued it. Currently chatting to a few girls on it, one inparticular I've taken a liking to and would like to see where it goes.

I was speaking to someone today and she was saying that she always swipes right to anyone she remotely knows so that she can see if they've done the same.

Many levels in play it seems.

Theres 2. Like or dont like.

Its not much game.

have done this before, ended up being matched with someone i work with.

Matched with three women in the last 24 hours with the "like everyone" method, two of whom I work with and am already friends with on Facebook o_O

First level thinker uitt.

You see your friends sister on it and wonder if she likes you... So you auto swipe right to find out... She could be doing the same thing or it she could be serious...

Either way, if you already know her, and now know shes single, speak to her.

Who cares how she swiped?

Actually had an awkward moment over Tinder, matched with one of my childhood friends. She sends me a message saying she been into me for years but never felt the feeling was reciprocated. Led to a hard conversation where I told her I didn't intend to, I just swipe everyone. Most of the time I'm not looking at the thing.

Also seen a couple of mates Mrs on there, but just assumed they are in it for the ego boost of a match and a bit of a giggle.

If I had a newish phone, I would be tempted to get it but idk about it being linked to FB. That would put me off a bit

Would like this thread to be as good as MISC's tinder thread but don't think that's going to happen
