I reckon they'd work out who swipes right the most/how many times a day each person logs on. Charge more for the heavy users, see if they'll pay it.

Why do they do that?
It's all marketing tactics. My parents spend a lot more on groceries than I do, so compared to them I get 'rewarded' more for less expenditure, but Flybuys know based on my spending habits that if they only offered me bonus points for $200 shops I wouldn't bother. Tinder would be using similar tactics, or perhaps just gauging what figure works at random.

I went on a few dates with a chick I met on Tinder. It seemed like everything was going well but I often thought about that underlying social stigma that is attached to online dating. Obviously it is going to be dependent on the person, but I reckon we both weren't keen to start an official relationship because of people asking how we met. Anyway it has now ended (probably for the best as she was probably looking for something more serious), but I think it's interesting how some people have successfully used Tinder to meet people and don't care about using it, while others are more hesitant due to that 'stigma'.

It's 2015, I would've thought people were over the 'stigma' by now. I've got a few mates who met their partners online they couldn't be happier and not embarrassed to tell people thats how they met.

Like I said it depends on the person, perhaps your mates are in a different age bracket? I'm 23 FWIW

The quality of matches has improved for me a lot, a lot more hot girls matched as opposed to a fair few average ones amongst them when likes weren't limited and I swiped right to almost everyone. Using likes sparingly has its advantages. Then again that freedom of usability has been stripped away and the popularity of the app has plummeted, and will continue to unless they change it back or tweak it.

Long time reader so I thought I'd contribute. Have been in touch with this girl from tinder for about 2 months. It was going fantastically well. Had our third date last Saturday night where I did the whole picnic in a nice spot thing. I cooked all the good put on a good spread. Everything had been going well we even discussed going to Sydney in 2 weeks for the weekend for my birthday. So anyway the date didn't seem to go as we'll as I thought started well. As I said I had made effort. So then no contact on Sunday after I send the obligatory day after text. Then I get this on Monday night.

I'm okay. I've just needed some time to process my feelings. I've wanted to call you, but I've put it off. I guess something changed for me the other night. You were so sweet, and the effort you put in, was more than anyone has done for me, for such a long time. That was really special. For some reason, I just didn't feel comfortable. I think I just felt a lot of pressure, and I freaked out. I should love that someone made such an effort for me, but it made me realise, I don't think I'm the right person for you.

Not to fussed but fair dinkum. Woman who knows what to do.

why would you put that effort in early days? Bitches are crazy. Treat em rough, get their muff. Bang her, bang her some more and then dont call for a day or 3. THEN in about 5 months do your picnic crap. If she wanted a puppy dog she'd go to the north melbourne lost dogs home and adopt one.

have not had a match since i have had the limit which has been about 4 days.

BS!

Ironically the only people I've matched with in 4 days are tinder bots.

Can't complain though, I've got my fourth tinder date coming up. I'd probably have a lot more if I stopped trolling the uglies.

If I met a girlfriend on Tinder or a dating site I wouldn't want people knowing where we met. Sounds pathetic when people go online looking for a gf/bf. So flipping desperate

However if I was only looking for root then I would be happy tell people we met on Tinder etc etc

Dude.
You need to just focus on getting laid.
Don't expend thoughts and energy on "what will I tell my mates" cos the truth is Your mates will be so Stoked that one of your crew has seen and touched an been inside a real human vagina - they won't care where you guys met.

Who gives a ****?

If I met an amazing girl, fell in love, bought a house with a white picket fence and all that shit then I wouldn't care when/where/how I met her.

As far as friend couples go for my married/as good as married friends I can think of 2 that met online, one that was set up by siblings that knew other, one that met drunk at uni, one that met at a dodgy pub in Northbridge, one that met as 17 year olds then got together 8 or so years later etc.

Got so many mates who have met their SO on Tinder.

Are you really that insecure?

Got a tinder bird coming around this weekend. Dont know how to feel really. Says she just wants to hang out and smoke a little green but all we know whats going down. Im feeling anxious, happy, a little nervous and a little scared. I dont know if she is a cop, if this is real, a dream, the beginning of the end of my life. :p

Personally would have no problem in telling the kids I met your mum on tinder hahahaha

Isn't the whole point of any app, website etc. to facilitate people meeting?

If you're chasing stats then you'll chase stats on Tinder just like you'll chase stats at the pub. If you're looking for dating, relationships etc. then you'll look for that on Tinder just like you'll look for that at the a pub. Etc.

Wouldn't say it's desperate, it's just another avenue for people to meet. Would you say meeting people from Bigfooty is a desperate way to make friends?
