3-4 is a good number. But I think 4 is better.

You need at least one clear photo of just you, one which leaves the swiper in no doubt as to what you look like. The 'main photo' should be this. Probably a good idea to include at least one group photo so that girls can see you're normal and not just a self-absorbed flog too.

There needs to be a right balance because it really annoys me when all the photos are group shots or simply unclear (back to the camera? covered face? a picture of a cat?).

Went on my second tinder date on Friday, I hadn't been using the app much and was on the verge of deleting it but then got a few decent matches so have stuck with it for the time being.

This was one girl I was pretty excited about, she was a Brazilian party girl who had just arrived and had no real friends. Her photos were pretty good so I was very keen. I got her number pretty quickly and we met up at a bar.

When she arrived first thing she said to me was "hey! Omg you look exactly like you're pictures!" It was a pity I couldn't say the same about her, as she was about 12 dress sizes larger than her pictures advertised. To make matters worse she wore the most revealing clothes treat still make me shudder thinking about it.

I tried to be nice and bought her a drink, and thought let's just make the most of this shit situation, thinking if I sunk a few pints maybe my point of view on this girl may change.

Now keep in mind this was on Good Friday, so when I went to order food like a good casual Catholic I asked what vegetarian options they had. I explained to her that I wasn't really a vegetarian so that if she wanted to order something with meat it wouldn't offend me or anything. Her response to that was "oh, you take religion too seriously." When she said that I was so close to giving her an absolute serving. Something along the lines of "oh please do you know what people who take religion too seriously look like? It's one ****ing day without meat, as a matter of fact you could do with a few Good Friday's yourself" would've gone down well.

I humored her for an hour and a bit, she spoke in a thick Brazillian accent and had a lisp which didn't help things. I felt bad because I think she could tell I was disengaged with what she was saying. I'm not even that picky when it comes to women, it's just that I felt let down because I hadn't got what was advertised.

I'm still not sold on tinder but if nothing else it's giving me some pretty good stories that I otherwise wouldn't have.
