We go to both Collingwood and North games each week but never sit together when we play eachother. He smiled at me at half time when they were winning and I lost it lol tread carefully haha

I'm going to set the tone early when it comes to footy banter. I've already told her I bought her a gift for our first date. She was like "WTF"?? :huh:

I said, "it's all right, all will be revealed tomorrow. No, don't get me a gift, you'll miss the point entirely... it'll all make sense when you see it."

I am going to present her this, in anticipation of a fun-filled footy season full of banter, and a few tears on her part when the Crows face my boys! :thumbsu:

As far as letting the other girl down gently, I did just that. All up I had about 30 matches, half didn't talk anyway, so I just messaged the girls who did and told them the deal.

I didn't mind adding her on messenger as we'd already established at that point that we'd not be taking things further, but that we could possibly be friends.

The girl in question, she responded instantly. She thanked me for my honesty but admitted she was "really disappointed" as she thought we might have had something there.

She then went on (a bit) saying how "all the nice guys get snapped up by other girls" and how she thought she'd "never meet anyone nice who would like her back."

I felt a bit sorry for her, but that is the way of the world, I guess. Coming across as sad and needy won't help her plight at all, but it's not my place to tell her that. I just wished her all the best for the future.

Should've thrown a leg over.
 
Speaking of throwing a leg over I went out with an Iraqi guy for 3 years so English was not his first language.
I said to him one day why don't you throw a leg over. He couldn't understand why it wasn't throw 2 legs over. Was hard to explain.

For those who are interested, I've just returned home from my date. It went really, really well. :)

She had to be home by 9.00pm as her boy was being babysat, and it's a school night so she couldn't be too late. But it was still awesome, and nice to finally meet her, which was the point of it all.

I asked her if I could walk her back to her car as we were leaving. I told her how much I enjoyed the night. We shared a little kiss just before we went our separate ways.

She's keen as for a second date. It could be as early as this Friday!

P.S. The tissue stunt worked really well, Morganashlee. When I pulled her 'gift' out of my pocket, handed it to her and explained, she could not stop laughing!

It went as well as I could have hoped for, and more! I'm a little besotted with her actually. She's just so beautiful inside and out.

Chatting tonight on messenger, she said how comfortable I made her felt. She said she really enjoyed my company.

Coming out of a marriage where I hadn't felt the love for years, it's a rather intoxicating feeling when someone you like so much feels the same way about you.
