And I was just been stubborn for the sake of it. But I stand by my point. Women will tend to debrief, seek opinions etc while men tend to more go with the flow and their mates don't really comment much.

They don't want a second opinion they want to showcase their desirability

In my experience (not just regarding relationships), people want an opinion that matches their own, and will search for it until they find it.

So I’m on a different dating app but I assume they r all the same. The general rule is coffee on the first date and then action on the second. Does that sound about right for most tinder users?

Or validation. Which is fair enough as it is a human trait but you can go overboard and want validation from everyone (e.g. Social Media and the quest for 1 mill likes) which is impossible.

Men are wired to fall in love with women who smile at them, be more intellectually challenging.

Women smile at me everyday and i dont fall in love with them.

Your typical hot woman doesnt need to try hard to get a guy which makes her lazy intellectually.
She can steer the conversation towards safe topics that she understands or wont challenge her... or smile and nod in agreement at what the guy is saying.

How often does some poor sap brag about how good looking some girl he met is and then adds "and she is smart too!"
As if this is some surprise outcome or should be out of the ordinary.

Don't think I've posted in this thread, but I found my boyfriend via Tinder (swiped right November 2017 haha). Took a few years and... MANY dates to find him. Some good. Some bad. Ghosting (on their part). A few one night stands (not intentional but just happened). I don't regret it but I think I kept falling into the same patterns. Mistakes were made and lessons were learned!

Overall though, I felt like the majority of men on Tinder either didn't want a relationship (ie. only wanted to 'hang out'/'Netflix and chill') or just wanted to be friends. Take them seriously when they say "I'm just looking to meet new people" or "I don't want anything serious" - they mean it!

And I 100% agree with the last line there. I've said it before, if they say that and you think you are special and can change them, you aint and you cannot.
