Tinnitus anyone?

Another mild case here. Only notice it really as I lay down to go to sleep. Usually ringing for a few minutes then it goes away. Annoying, but bearable. Enough that if it was continuous I could easily see (hear?) how it would drive someone to depression, a short temper and general poor mental health.

It doesn't even have the interest of voices in your head to talk to (although I suppose the upside is, tinnitus doesn't tell you to go out and murder everyone as you are the messiah). :p

Very mild case, but it's constant. Any ambient noise generally cancels it out, though.

I used to play drums in a band. I would wear ear plugs to practice, but since I often struggled to hear the band at gigs when I wore them, I usually went without. I'm thankful I only gigged for a couple of years.

I would probably curl up in a ball crying if I had this.

Luckily I only go to one or two gigs or festivals a year and when I go to the GP I'm super-cautious with ear plugs. Has me beat how people were standing there at the GP without earplugs.

When I got there for the first time I thought the V8s were loud. But it was nothing on the ear-splitting, soul-destroying banshee screech of the F1s.
