Fair enough though was highly rated from memory.

Jarman for pick 25 wasnt too bad, but you actually have been pretty poor going over the history on your website
That was just part of the Jarman deal. We gave up Sean Wellman to get him as well (from memory Wellman went to Essendon and Salmon went to Hawthorn).

As for the McLeod trade, I think Freo's coach was more to blame than anybody. Apparently treated McLeod like shit from the get go. We traded Groom to Freo, who managed to kick 18 goals in 7 games there, but for some reason was continually dropped, and his career kind of just died.

Think he means trade tippett to gws, forgetting tippett has agreed to trade to only one club, so wont go to gws.

So its deal with sydney or get 0 and send him to the national draft not pre season as some crows think

Why would GWS want Tippett on their list sucking up cash for 4 years that will be needed to pay Paton and Cameron and any other kids they intend to keep over the next 4 years.

Might be different if they needed his type, but they don't.

Agreed, why would they compromise their ability to develop their own talent which they have done well to date.

Yeah wonder how far he would get in national draft, gws could get him cheap
It won't be cheap, at his asking price you would have had to set up your list specifically to cater for him and planned your drafting and trading around it.

This was our perfect storm this year with recent retirements, Bradshaw's wage coming off and more than likely the Goodes deal reducing on the back end. All of which meant we were going to go hard this year or next for a KPF on big coin.

Patton and Cameron are young and will take years to develop and when they do a forward line of Patton, Cameron and Tippett would be pretty imposing.

Agree, but someone like Paton is going to need a massive overs no return to Melbourne contract at the end of next year.

They were never interested in Cloke, which would indicate a fat wallet KPF is not n their radar.

So instead of back loading Tippets contract, GWS front load it. Kurt gets his money a little bit earlier.

Wow Adelaide supporters really are grasping for anything:rolleyes:

GWS didn't want to pay Giles 300k a season, good luck finding a million for Tippett with a bunch of young players (Patton, Tyson, Hoskin-Elliot) still to re-sign.
