Meh, I'm counting down the days.

When you look at the long list of other clubs who have broken the rules (Port, Geelong, Sydney, West Coast, Melbourne, Carlton, Essendon etc) and/or have some form of AFL gifted advantage (Carlton, Collingwood, Sydney, Brisbane, GWS, GC etc) my outrage has dramatically decreased. I have been saying for years our administration needs to show some balls and when we do, even though we did it in a incredible stupid way, now I'm going to hang them all out to dry. Apart from hawthorn, there hasn't been a flag winner in the last decade who hasn't won their premiership without a dose of cheating and/or an AFL gifted advantage.

Its one thing to cheat/manipulate/bend the rules. A smart man always covers his arse. A stupid man doesn't. I guess I am saying that if he had not been so stupid then I might have said OK. To me its the stupidity and we cant afford to have a stupid CEO. I also dont like his dismissive attitude towards the supporters. I understand we all make mistakes.....but not stupid ones and certainly not ones that cost the club so dearly.

This has to be changed but I have no idea how to. I will certainly not attend the Ess/Crows game. SO I am committed.....although I do live in Brisbane :D

No way am I flying 10,000 km back to see that game either.

And none of you ba....rds should go to the NAB cup.

Yep, this is it BC, you can add deception to the stupidity and incompetence.

The reason CEOs are paid big money is for taking responsibility for the running of the club and showing good judgement. Oops.

Oh come on, read it in the context of what I posted. If your'e going to take petty pot shots expect it back.
Sorry I had to resort to petty pot shots because I got tired of arguing with a posturing fence-sitter who has no real opinion on the matter except to defend the guilty-as-charged Steven Trigg's right to have no real opinion on the matter

What side of the fence I sit on has nothing to do with the point I was making. It was a point vaidated by a few posters who responded to specific questions.
I made my point in the post were you highlighted "no idea" but clearly that was way beyond your capability to understand and your current response shows that you still haven't grasped the point I made.

Yeah, that really showed her.

That little act didn't make Caroline look stupid, all it did was make the Adelaide media and the Adelaide Crows look like an insular boys club trying to hide something

Yep. I would much rather have had Caro questioning Trigg than the soft 'stroking' charade of an interview conducted principally by Cornes on 5AA. Cornes' questions of Trigg were soft, accepting and lacked any real inciveness and follow up. His bias delivered a predictable response from Trigg who found himself in very friendly territory where he could make statements rather than answers to the almost 'throw away toned' questions.

Everybody now realizes we have witnessed a littany of untruths, sus performances and incompetency, and probably not all by Trigg. And so the overiding outcome was for the AFL to show who is boss and secondly to not too severley damage the AFC. And for all the machinations of 'who was complicit or knew what' it appears , simplistically, that saving the AFC is what has saved Trigg.

I watched an episode of the Simpsons last night where as student body president, Martin Prince organises a school casino night. It basically all goes very wrong and raises no money. Skinner tells him 'you realise that you'll now have to resign as president...', which Martin does. I was impressed by the accountability.

it makes me happy when i see other clubs fans in here who say they dont like tippett.
sure we were stupid and got our just desserts, but its still heart warming knowing others think hes a tosser too,

The points you think you are making are meaningless. The facts are that Trigg pled guilty to the charges levelled at him, and he and the club have been penalised - he should have apologised for his actions AND resigned.

Good post skoobydoo, the difference is Caro is a journalist whereas Cornesy and Rowey are basically entertainers/cheerleaders. Caro is not worried about being mates with them all. I sent a long list of questions to Cornes and Rowe and disappointingly, they didn't use them. I shouldn't be surprised.

I applaud you 100% until the bolded bit, don't really know what you mean, can you expand on this. Do you mean the survival of the AFC depended on keeping Trigg, that he's become bigger than the club, that Trigg is the AFC?

PS: Can you send me the name of your 'doctor', I have to fight a terrible addiction.
