Could Tom Mitchell be part of a potential deal? Didn't get a lot of time this year (probably due to the Swans having a healthy and cohesive midfield). Touted as a top 10 pick last year but picked at 21 due to F/S. Left footed ball magnet who would likely add to our midfield depth. Both sides might have to get creative for this deal to get done. Just spitballing.

Through the draft, no.

Through a player trade? Of course they are, they're got some excellent players. The question is, how much do they want Tippett? If they're not willing to give up something of substance, they are unlikely to get him because there are a bunch of other clubs who would gladly spend a nothing PSD pick on the guy. Even if he only plays for a year and then leaves, they've just picked up a huge bargaining chip for free (other than the salary of course).

Unless we just roll over and take whatever we're given of course, but I'm hoping against hope that that doesn't happen.

Well, yeah thats my point.

You start the discussions with Jetta, Kennedy, Jack.

Quick update

1) Kurt will leave the Crows

2) Kurt will go to the Gold Coast

3) We will get a mid to late first round pick or player equivalent.

Blucher and Tippett are playing games. He's going to Collingwood- Collingwood say no. He's going to Carlton - Carlton say WTF. He's going to Brisbane - the poor buggers still think they're a chance. Wait, no he's going to Sydney - Sydney smile in a all knowing way.

.

Well at least you got one thing right Nostradamus/AFGM......Sydney are indeed smiling!!!

But hey, this might all be a smokescreen for his fall back position GCS if Sydney don't come to the party. lol

All might not be lost just yet old son!!

So how much were you guys offering? IF he says we're offering less I'm wondering by how much.

YOU'RE NOT OFFERING LESS.

Never has that been said! You are clearly offering more. How may times does it need to be said in multiple different media outlets that you're offering $1m?

"It would have been easy to accept a generous five-year offer to stay in Adelaide, or something similar from the Gold Coast or Brisbane"

Yeah, but it was even easier to accept $1m from Sydney.

Ha....anyone hear Roo on Fox sports news? Tipping a bucket on the big ego. Said he now runs the risk of being the most overrated player in afl history. Also threw a grenade at swans suggesting disquiet amongst a flag team who won't have been paid anywhere near what the ego will be paid.

Gotta love the Roo

Yet the article does indicate that simple fact. The reality is that the Swans are a little smarter with list and player management than to pay 1 million dollars for anyone,

Red Card. We don;t need any smug arseh*le Sydney supporters on here, claiming they got Tippett because they are smarter. You bid more, you idiots.

Who wants a bet Tippo doesn't end up a Swan?
I'm with you there, once that word "conditional" came into the agreement, I see this as being a very bumpy ride for $kirt getting Sydney to part with someone of reasonable value....this ain't Armstrong there trading for here!!

Pyro he was injured most of the year mate, from all accounts they finished his year early to get his body right

I find it extremely odd that Sydney haven't re-signed Kennedy and that if they haven't, more hasn't been made of this by the media. Is it because the Melbourne media have no idea about non-Victorian clubs and that the Sydney media just don't care enough to alert them to the fact? I wonder whether this may have had something to do with the Swans suddenly finding $800k-$1M to throw at Tippett. Surely you throw a good chunk of that at Kennedy, get him signed up, then throw what's left at Tippett.

If he is still unsigned, it really makes you wonder if he isn't on his way back to Melbourne or something, Trent Croad/Chris Tarrent style, and the swans have just covered it up well.

Personally, i think if a deal is to occur to satisfy both parties, I think a 3rd and even 4th party will need to be involved. I just don't see Sydney having the cards to satisfy Adelaide, but I think a couple of Melbourne clubs may be interested in a few young players on their list.

On the swans site

"It would have been easy to accept a generous five-year offer to stay in Adelaide, or something similar from the Gold Coast or Brisbane, and I also want to thank those clubs for their interest," Tippett said.

I'm assuming it implies that he's turning down more money if he comes to us. Also goes on to mention they've agreed on a conditional four year contract.

You're completely wrong. It would have been easy to accept a generous offer from those three clubs, but it was even easier to accept a ridiculously generous offer from you.

And how hilarious would it be if it was due to a revolt from the Swans players? Might teach the campaigner a few things about their "revered culture", and how up themselves, self-important arseholes don't fit into it.

Guys I see a few of wanting Rohan for Tippett, I don't want to get rid of him but you do realise he had a horrific leg break in round 4 and has now just started walking laps around the SCG?

Doubt he'll play a senior game next year.

Sydney's players will not be big on Tippett on such crazy money, Sydney will not let one of their young guns we are demanding go and even if Sydney did agree to let a Jetta/Rohan/Hannebury go ( which they wont) I doubt the players would leave a Premiership team to come to Adelaide... Nothing would unite a playing group like a flag.

Imagine the cold reception million dollar man Kurt would get when he arrives to Sydney if one of their premiership mates has been shafted. Enjoy kurt

I thought there was talk of Kennedy going back to Vic in the media. I reckon SEN have mentioned it during the week. But yeah little has been said.

Tried looking for something on the web earlier today, but could not find anything.
