Through the draft, no.
Through a player trade? Of course they are, they're got some excellent players. The question is, how much do they want Tippett? If they're not willing to give up something of substance, they are unlikely to get him because there are a bunch of other clubs who would gladly spend a nothing PSD pick on the guy. Even if he only plays for a year and then leaves, they've just picked up a huge bargaining chip for free (other than the salary of course).
Unless we just roll over and take whatever we're given of course, but I'm hoping against hope that that doesn't happen.
Tippett's manager will struggle to find a new job after this. Absolute flog of the highest order.

Quick update
1) Kurt will leave the Crows
2) Kurt will go to the Gold Coast
3) We will get a mid to late first round pick or player equivalent.
Blucher and Tippett are playing games. He's going to Collingwood- Collingwood say no. He's going to Carlton - Carlton say WTF. He's going to Brisbane - the poor buggers still think they're a chance. Wait, no he's going to Sydney - Sydney smile in a all knowing way.

So how much were you guys offering? IF he says we're offering less I'm wondering by how much.
im a port boy and i will say next time you play him knock his head off . it dont take much to knock the **** outWhat a Samaranch.
Alex Johnson is who we should ask for plus pick 22.
Yet the article does indicate that simple fact. The reality is that the Swans are a little smarter with list and player management than to pay 1 million dollars for anyone,
I'm with you there, once that word "conditional" came into the agreement, I see this as being a very bumpy ride for $kirt getting Sydney to part with someone of reasonable value....this ain't Armstrong there trading for here!!Who wants a bet Tippo doesn't end up a Swan?
Could Tom Mitchell be part of a potential deal? Didn't get a lot of time this year (probably due to the Swans having a healthy and cohesive midfield). Touted as a top 10 pick last year but picked at 21 due to F/S. Left footed ball magnet who would likely add to our midfield depth. Both sides might have to get creative for this deal to get done. Just spitballing.
On the swans site
"It would have been easy to accept a generous five-year offer to stay in Adelaide, or something similar from the Gold Coast or Brisbane, and I also want to thank those clubs for their interest," Tippett said.
I'm assuming it implies that he's turning down more money if he comes to us. Also goes on to mention they've agreed on a conditional four year contract.
Some of their comments are shocking.

We will I find out how much they want him I guess, and it will be more than their bigfooty supporters.Absolutely Jars. Now you're talking quality.
Can't see Sydney doing it though.

West AdelaideNot going to happen in a million years ......think with your head not your heartParker, rohan + 22

I find it extremely odd that Sydney haven't re-signed Kennedy and that if they haven't, more hasn't been made of this by the media. Is it because the Melbourne media have no idea about non-Victorian clubs and that the Sydney media just don't care enough to alert them to the fact? I wonder whether this may have had something to do with the Swans suddenly finding $800k-$1M to throw at Tippett. Surely you throw a good chunk of that at Kennedy, get him signed up, then throw what's left at Tippett.
If he is still unsigned, it really makes you wonder if he isn't on his way back to Melbourne or something, Trent Croad/Chris Tarrent style, and the swans have just covered it up well.
Personally, i think if a deal is to occur to satisfy both parties, I think a 3rd and even 4th party will need to be involved. I just don't see Sydney having the cards to satisfy Adelaide, but I think a couple of Melbourne clubs may be interested in a few young players on their list.
