he hasnt said that he is homesick however he has requested a trade to WCE
Yep, this is why a deal with Melbourne is not out of the question but unless Reid (or the talk to Kennedy) wants to move to Collingwood, I can not see how that will help us.

Holy Ghost's big o
We are not bound. We owe him nothing. His manager will have no impact on Phil and David. We will do what's best for the AFC which will be pick22 plus a player of some description whether it be from Sydney or elsewhere. No angst required.
That is not best for the club if it results in Sydney getting Tippett.

Increasingly feel that it's PSD or we lose. Barring an exceptional three way deal.

It's not just Sydney we have to worry about. Psd is a good option but if you take hatred for Kurt out of it, it's not a good deal.

Pick 22 is close to worthless, and will probably be used to get an unloved recycled player from somewhere else.

For a million dollar baby, among the absolute upper echelon of the league, only affordable due to the AFL's BS handouts, we would expect a top player AND a top 15 draft pick (fairness of exact number dependent on player involved) OR a top 4 pick.

Rohan + pick better than 15.

Parker or Johnson + pick better than 10.

OR GTFO.

And don't cry foul that it's too expensive, or we don't wanna break up our precious bloods premiership players, because you've made a very expensive bid for a player so you should follow thru.

Normally, I'm more pragmatic than to say send a player to PSD and would occasionally agree with the club accepting slight unders to get the job done BUT in this case we are trading with a direct competitor for next years premiership, the player and manager are lying, manipulative snakes. FFS, Tippett didn't go close to repaying us for the last contract. If he goes to anyone else in the PSD, we will use our bundles of cash next year to poach one back anyway. Even if he gets back to QLD and looks an initial winner then we will get one of their players the next year cos they can't afford to keep them all. And if Candles ends up somewhere he doesn't wanna play for he can sit on his arse for a year.

And Sydney, i sincerely hope Tippett duds out, your culture disintegrates, you tumble down the ladder and we finally stop hearing about this bloods *ankfest.

Please AFC, this is one time to play hard and get a decent trade. We've been bent over for the past few years and not given a whimper. Raped by the new franchises, bent over re Rendell, and as per frickin usual the umps screwed us when it counts in the finals. Now another team has procured our highest paid player thru mid year deception (Blucher you lying flog)...we must get fair compensation or PSD and bide your time for further revenge.

Jesus christ... I dont come on BF for 24 hours and theres 50 odd pages to catch up...!!! I need to quit my job.

Is it getting to the point where someone needs to close this thread, start a new one and keep an up to date $kirt Yippett trade details list so stuff isnt constantly rehashed? Ive just read the last 8 pages and stuff that was discussed 50 pages ago keeps getting re-discussed.

On the swans site

"It would have been easy to accept a generous five-year offer to stay in Adelaide, or something similar from the Gold Coast or Brisbane, and I also want to thank those clubs for their interest," Tippett said.

I'm assuming it implies that he's turning down more money if he comes to us. Also goes on to mention they've agreed on a conditional four year contract.
Mate, you're reading into it what you want to read in it. There's nothing in that quote that tells either way. Lions, crows & suns made generous offers. They would have been easy to accept. Nothing to suggest Sydneys offer is less or more.

Ultimately we hope to get fairly compensated for a player that must rate as suddenly their most valuable going forward.

If not, why we would we accept unders and simply make one of our best competitors even stronger.

Let GCS scrounge the money for the PSD, and then with their cap issues and no game time for younger talls, we will get one back with $$ next year.

If not GCS, someone before Sydney who didn't get Cloke will afford him.

If he chooses to sit out for a year, then he's not fulfilling his contract and thus should get $0

Alex, the way I read it is judt by the point of him declaring WCE it suggest that he wants to go home, not sure that he needs to go to the extent and say that he is home sick

Danger is obviously keen on Rohan, personally I think if he can get over his latest injury he could be a super player, the next Stevie J but quicker

Danger and Rohan seem to be close so hopefully Danger is baiting both Sando & Rohan

love to see Rohan at the crows

Those bashing the manager should remember that EVERY SINGLE MANAGER is an absolutely disgusting human being....whilst doing his job. They may be nice at home or round a barby....but David Cloke, Liam Pickering, Judd's manager, Ricky Nixon are professional scum who will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get the best deal for their client....and if that includes having every afl ceo/manager/fan hate them then they'll wear it.
You, sir, are a legend. :thumbsu:

Player managers = snake oil salesman who traffic in human beings.

All this talk about Jesse White is concerning. That twitter photo thing about him flying to Adelaide could be a gag, who knows. But just as a thought, would the Crows be looking at him as a potential KPD?

All at pick 22.
Scott Selwood looks the goods. Wallis and Trengove are best 22. The rest awere spuds, or still too early to call. Any of these worth $1mill a year? Pick 22 does not interest me in the slightest.

Wellinghams manager was on Sen yesterday. It's either Collingwood or West Coast. He was a WC supporter and a childhood dream was to play for them, now the opportunity has presented itself he wants to go there. Plus there has been personnel issues back home which he has been dealing with for the last 6 months.

Ignore the agreement. Clearly related to going home, he isn't, so **** them.

After the rubbish we've had to put up with the last couple of years, I'd genuinely put him in the PSD.

See if GWS will take him for mini draft picks?
Seriously, this is what I'd be testing out if I were Noble. Give GWS a guarantee that we will not trade him anywhere and send him to the PSD, and even swap our first pick for a pick in the mini-draft. Kurt still get's to go to his apparent home town of Sydney, and we get something decent in return.

"He was born in Sydney, he's got family and friends- lots of them- in Sydney and he loves the environment. It ticked all the boxes."

"I'm not going to deny I'm a beach boy at heart. And If you've ever been to the Gold Coast I think you'll know what I'm talking about. I do get homesick at times and I think at some stage during my life I think I will return to the Gold Coast but the Adelaide Crows have been fantastic to me right from the day I was drafted back in 2006. They gave me a chance and have always done the right thing by me. It is certainly my intention that I would do likewise in return."

Saints want to bring a KPD in, they may be willing to offer pick 12 or 13(Goddard pick) for Grundy. We then get that pick+ rohan. Would that be enough?

A couple of points that I think are relevent.

1. Sydney approached Kurt during concussion period and then visited him a couple of days after a flag and offer him a huge deal. This suggests to me that they have a very good reason to want him so badly. They also would be aware that getting a deal done with us will be hard so again they must have thought about this before going to the trouble of signing him so I think they must have a high profile player leaving that they know is going to free up picks and cap space, I mean why would anyone that has a premiership team be doing all this otherwise.

2. All the Tippett and his manager and Sydney hate on here is way over the top at the moment as we haven't seen what we end up with. I mean how can we blame a manager for getting his client $900,000 plus, that's his job after all and don't forget Tippett passed up huge money to stay with us 3 years ago so he obviously has some loyalty but he is 1 concussion away from retirement now and he gets offered $4 million over 4 years, can't totally blame him. Lets wait until we see what happens in trade week before we get too upset, we might come out of it really well.
