how can he sign? needs to go through trade period. We might get a better deal with Brisbane and he goes there or the draft.
 
Finally finished reading this whole thread.

Massive "DO NOT WANT" to all those suggesting Fev or Dawes!

As for going to Sydney, no idea how this would happen without them giving up someone like Jetta.

Anyone know why is Brisbane no longer in the mix?

We can not dictate where he goes. We do not have that control, we can not say to him - you're going to Perth because they have given us a better deal.

A trade can only be facilitated between his new destination of his choice and his old one.

That's it - I've forgotten the Big Footy logic in trading

You need to give a bag of shit away in order to receive a bag of gold in return. Nothing about giving something good to receive something good.
 
Whatever we get and what we do with it, has to improve our list from round 1 2013.

Not sure what the point of free agency is when it seems guys like Tippett can go wherever they want as it is. I am hoping the Sydney interest is real, if it pushes up his trade value. Not sure what they could give us, but it would have to be good. Would hate to see us get a mix of late first round/early second round and average players as has been suggested by opposition supporters.

Just noticed that Tippets the player in the image to the right of the forum.. hopefully we don't have to look at that all year.

or draft, and I do remember Hawks traded Trent Croad with out him knowing. He went into surgery a hawk came out a docker. End of the Day if his "club of choice" offers squat we should tell them to talk a long walk on a short plank. Sick of crows getting screwed by sooky lala money hungry tossers, flick 'em to the draft and he can play for Melbourne. Don't care if we get squat in that situation just don't gent bent over.

I am hoping we get a quality kid and a pick that will improve our list for 8 to 10 years... Lets hope Ogilvie is as good as we are hearing

Do not disagree with this at all. I believe theres still plenty of improvement left in the players who do want to stay and thats where most of the improvement will come from. I think the club has implied what Im thinking, lets just not get a 80% Kurt Tippett replacement. There is an opportunity here to improve the list.
 
Can we start speculating on what Sydney can possibly offer up for Tippett?

They seem a side that much better as a collective.

Gary Rohan? Pick 22? Heath Grundy?

Can't agree. Even now, with the go home factor, the Club has stated they will pick the best available talent and trust that the Club culture will be enough to keep the players here. Even if the Club can't keep a player who wants to go home, at least they can get decent compensation, (provided said player doesn't screw us.)

My point obviously needs more explanation. We have lost Bock and Davi$. Doughty has retired. There was a rumour yesterday, somewhere on BF of Otten going to Carlton as an element of a trade deal. I think that Thommpson is a must keep for our defense. Rutted hasn't got many years left.

And Tippett wouldn't be? I mean I know this is Big Footy, and being a Suns supporter, you're probably not used to this notion, but generally, you actually need to part with something good to get something good in return.

He is most definitely a future player going forward for the Swans, and they took him in the top 10 in the draft a few years back...
