unfortunate reality when a players walks on you. we had to accept unders for sauce.

I'll say this one time. Coming in here and saying "WELP LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS WILL NEED TO ACCEPT UNDERS!!! JUST LIKE SAUCE!!!" will not be tolerated.

If you have something worthwhile to contribute to the discussion, then do so. Otherwise, please leave.

You are kidding right? Was that a pig that just flew past?

You guys are no different to any other club...just a matter of perspective....are you the Screwer or the Screwee?
For your sake I hope the clubs don't see it that way or you better get some lube

Maybe in 1997 mate... Next year's cap is 9.13 mil. If Kurt was going to completely max us out, we are at 8.33 mil - a touch over 91%.

We need to spend at least another $115k odd - but that shouldn't be too much. Even if we replace Kurt with a new draftee, that takes care of about 60-odd... Luke Thompson hasn't signed yet, maybe he is in line for a windfall!

Like I said above, don't just waste the money for the sake of it. Get to 92.5% and try to land a big fish once we find one worth landing.
This is a good point. Has anyone checked out who could be a free agent next year. There's no point spending the money this year on spuds. We maybe could front load the crap out of a few players contracts next year if we can't land a big player this year.

Relax folks Kurt was always going to end up at the Suns if not here, and he still will...

Marcus Ashcroft has released officially their "interest"..just fairy floss though, it's obviously a done deal..

http://goldcoastfc.com.au/news-and-media/news/suns-confirm-tippett-interest/page-1/
The Gold Coast SUNS have declared they intend to talk to Kurt Tippett in a bid that would see the former Adelaide star play for the SUNS next season.
GC SUNS General Manager Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft signalled the clubs intentions.
Kurt and his management are well aware that we would be very interested in Kurt joining the SUNS.
"We plan to further discussions with Kurt Tippett's management in the coming days in the hope that the SUNS can provide an opportunity that Kurt wishes to pursue."
Raised on the Gold Coast, Tippett, 25, played 104 AFL games for Adelaide and kicked 188 goals.
Drafted with pick 32 at the 2006 national draft, he made his AFL debut in the opening round of the 2008 season.
Ashcroft also confirmed that the SUNS would act in a considered manner, when it came to the offer put to Tippett.
As we have said all along, we are committed to continuing to strengthen our team, and Kurt certainly would do that, however we wont be making an offer that will be at the detriment of our ability to retain the elite young talent we currently have on our list in the future.

Perspective and insight from my 5 year old:

Son: I wish Kurt Tippett had stayed.
Me: So do I but we'll be fine.
Son : Yep, because we have Taylor Walker and he's better.

From the mouths of babes...:)

Quoted for truth. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Your 5 YO is a smart cookie.

Brilliant... smart kid!

Now that Kurt is gone, we truly have a united team. All our young big guns bar Jacobs have signed up for at least 3 years. If we get no one we must re do Jacobs contract and sign him for another 3 and pay him the money he deserves.

You are far to nice to be a mod. Do not say 'please'. Card the prick.

Right, so if it is indeed GC, which im not entirely convinced it will be.... We need to be going in and telling them to "sharpen the pencil" in no uncertain terms.

The following trades should be what we ask for FIRST up (not saying they will get done but to show we mean business):

-Pick 2 and one of Gorringe/Day/Matera.
-Gorringe AND Day + second round pick.
-Pick 2 + Caddy comp pick (11ish).

If this is not how the negotiation starts, Noble/Trigg have no clue what they are doing.

BTW, i dont care in the slightest what non crows supporters think of this, this is a Crows forum and we will call the shots.
lol.

If he ends up at Brisbane or Gold Coast, I'll swallow it. A transfer to Sydney, Collingwood, Carlton or any other team will be a bitter pill. If he is genuinely homesick, go home. If he is purely in it for money and his own benefit (which is ok, just be honest about it) then we really don't want him. I have said it many many times on this board, that unless a player is 110% committed to our clubs success, growth, improvement and development, then go. We have no time for you. As we long suspected, Kurt fits into this category. I don't wish him well. I don't wish him success.

As Danger said today:

Disappointing day for the AFC. Club has done everything it could. But you have to want to be apart of where we are going. #2013 we r coming!
