The thing that disappoints me the most about this whole sorry affair is that THE MOB have failed to explain how Craigy was responsible for this mess.
I'll have a go....if Craigy didn't walk out on the club last year then this would never have happened, Kurt loved Neil and would've followed him into the mists of Avalon ;)

Do I win anything?

At least we will get to play more KIDS next season.
The thing that disappoints me is you are back from "Vanuatu"

He was the coach at the time, he was probably pushing really hard to keep Tippett.

Also he was a terrible coach.

Well I'm starting to feel like we won't get Tippett, which I'm quite relieved about. I've never been very excited about the prospect, and after all this fiasco I just hope we get as far away from him as possible.

There's been a lot of banter back and forth from both our sides, some of it less than edifying. What I will say is I do genuinely feel a bit sorry for Crows fans. Your club and Tippett have dumped you in a world of shit. Luckily you have a strong playing list.

I would prefer that if the Crows were going to tamper they did a better job of it.

This tampering scenario is to the Crows detriment. Which club would agree that they would trade a valued player for a second round draft pick.

There is no gain to this for Adelaide unlike the other tampering scenarios we had in past i.e Carlton

Sounds to me like this was demanded by the Tippets thus I don’t think Adelaide should bear the brunt of this. When you tamper with something you would think the outcome

Needs to be positive- the only ones with positive outcome was Kurt.

Secondly if the Crows paid for Joel Tippets relocation- what is wrong with this? he is a footballer in his own right and the Crows may have wanted to

Keep an eye on his progress. If it was another player there would be no issue. Plus when Tippo signed the contract extension that was 2009 and Joel

Was still on the Gold Coast list. Thus this is a totally independent matter and is a storm in a tea cup in my opinion made up by Rucci.
Actually not necessarily. If Tippetts brother Joel was used as a mechanism to pay Tippett, a form of money laundering if you like, then there's plenty wrong with it.

Get real, don't care who instigated the deal, both parties agreed to it in 2009. Now there's extra payments.

Can't see how Sydney or any other club had anything to do with it. AFC made the bed, now they must sleep in it, and you can take that overrated f*** wit with you.
You are either very naive or very stupid....or more likely both.
If Sydney knew of the agreement early on, like when they decided to approach Tippet (maybe a conversation or 2 between Blucher and his mate Ireland) they have got something to do with it.

Given that you mostly come here and carry on like frog gerbil, I say its time for you to take your Woodie and leave this board.

PS. This whole fiasco has more than damaged $kirts brand. Lots of your supporters and sponsors and very likely club administrators would be thinking we don't want this bloke at the Swans.........so wouldn't it be interesting if $kirt had to nominate for the draft and up until Sydney's pick no-one picked him up....what do the swans do!!!

If Craigy played Kurt in the 2's like he did with a certain other foward, Kurt would have left at the end of that 2010 contract. Its too easy

I'd pay for front row seats to see that! :)

IMO the severity of the punishment will be dependent on whether their was a salary cap breach and by what amount
If the Crows, have an inkling they're going to lose draft picks, would they try to lessen the expected severity of the punishment, by delisting Tippett on the 31st letting him become a free agent and get to the club of his choice?

Thanks. Yes I think your club will want to steer clear of this mess.I don't think you need him anyway. Tippett could taint your players and cause unnecessary angst. The importance he places on money and self are thoroughly depressing. My anger towards him has dissipated somewhat and I actually feel a sorry for him as he can't be a very happy individual to make the choices he has made.

As for our club, you are right, our only saving grace is we currently have a strong (and hopefully united) list. I have never felt less proud of my club and this is really testing my devotion. Right now I could care less about how we go in 2013. I want my club to be decisive and someone to show strong leadership (Chapman, Smart) in the days to come and to wipe the slate clean. Trigg and anyone else implicated must go ASAP so we can forge a new path. The penalties will come and we will get over them but the damage to our reputation and the loss of respect will take a long time to heal. :(

Trolling? This board used to be united in a single cause with only Jenny and I swimming against the tide. Now even old allies are at each other's throats. I'm just doing me bit to retore the natural order.

I use to love giving Carlton fans shit over salary cap breeches.
Being a Carlton supporter living in Adelaide I know what you are talking about. My Crow supporter friends have given me more crap over this than any other supporter base. It has been interesting the last couple of days, as I think that my silence over this matter irks them more than if I had dished it back. I don't believe in giving it back because I know the pain seeing my club suffer so much. I am so so glad to see no Blues supporters are trolling in here. We do not wish what we went through on anyone.

Everyone's had their turn so why not Adelaide?
The sad thing was, that alike top level cycling, everyone was into doing what the other was doing.
We got caught out and were hung out to dry.

Why anyone would have ventured down that path again, is the big question.
Hope for you guys that they were only minor indiscretions and not all out spitting into the face of the league, otherwise..............

I agree with this sentiment. I really feel for the remaining players at AFC.

Imagine if this was your workplace with this scandal going on at senior management level. The only way for AFC to get some credibility is with quick and decisive action. Chapman should have already appointed an independent auditor to go through and identify the culprits internally, then the blade should come down quickly.

No offence, but F the Tippetts.

How can one player bend a whole football department over? For gods sake, he's not even that good.

Here's my take on the Player Rules re draft tampering.
...
So the way I see it, we should not be punished for this, however ...
Whoooh! Brilliant. :)

And here I had been wondering what you were on when you claimed legal training; you were so obviously missing the point.

Glad I didn't try to explain why you were wrong, I guess you were just 'cutting to the chase', and skipping the details.

Now you have filled in details I am rethinking this, and no - I'm not being sarcastic.
