Does anyone else think that we knew sydney wouldnt increase their offer, so we wanted to send him to the PSD, BUT! we couldnt becuase of the agreement to send him to the club of his choice. So we told the AFL who we knew wouldnt let us trade him but we needed to take our medicine as well.
The AFL knew that there was a rumoured contract. Once Sydney refused to make a sensible trade the gig was up.

Blutcher is also Scullys manager. seems like hes a pro in Third Party deals. Scully father for example in a recruitment job

These agents need to go. Player salaries should be put in categories of 1- 5 ie 50-100k ,100-250k, 250-350k, 350-450k,450-600k

I know of player in the all Australian squad who was offered 150k last year in his contract and is no longer with that club. You cant tell me that Tippett was worth 600k more than this bloke- such are the irregularities in payments to players.
You're right. Maybe time for some professional rem setting in the AFL...

@emmasq Well done on your interview on 5AA. You handled it really well.

@Flyer_66 wasn't expecting to get hammered like that. bit disappointing.

Wow breaking this story must have mentally drained her, as if she thinks that is hammering I would hate to see what she would be like if she actually got interviewed by people that hit her with some hard hitting questions.
interviews don't get any easier than that...MY GOD it really is easy to be a journo at THE AGE...only high school kids give softer interviews than those two....

Think this Thread should stay open for as long as Tippett plays AFL. When we having a bad day we can come here bag $kirt and go away stressed relieved. Or trip back through the highs and the lows. The talk about what is your favourite sauce in or out of the fridge, the merits of wikipedia, which of Trigg, Tippett, Blucher or Ireland is the stupidest...that could be a hard one to solve. 17500 posts about a guy who still isn't gone, we got nothing for him, we probably won't get a pick in the draft, we will cop a fine and our CEO will resign. We've laughed, cried, groaned, yelled, uttered many swear words, used silly, flog, Muppett, dumbass and many others....the best of times *sniff*.
When Doodle48 began this post a mere 24 days ago little did we know that it would average over 730 posts each day and still going strong.
I just want to know when the Adelaide BF Tippett's Gone T-shirts are coming out...would make em myself, but I'm shite at design.

More to the point your club would not be in deep shit.

Blaming us for problems of your own making will not make it any better, or go away.

And Rohan was never going to be part of it. That would've been paying overs. It's all hypothetical now though...
It would not been overs .
Dont you no neck , no brains Swan supporters understand the reason this all blew up because AFL smelt a rat when saw which you all thought great deal proposed trade as that how bad it was .
Anyway by enticing him with massive $ you already have interfered with the "Blood Culture ' and not got anywhere by being greedy pricks let by the nose by Bulcher .
You were using the agreement to screw us and hopefully apart from your own internal damage hope AFL
take your mob to task as well

I wouldn't really call that interview a "hammering", but it's very clear that Quayle much prefers to deal in optimistic stories of draft hopefuls than in the mire of gutter journalism and muckraking. I don't blame her.

Don't see how it makes her a "cow" though, seems a pretty poor comment to me.

Here's hoping this saga doesn't draw out too much longer. Make your decision swiftly, AFL!

As for a new thread, at this point I'm happy to just keep this one going until a decision gets made, and then we can all move on. No point dragging it out any more into other threads.

As we know the AFL blocked our attempts or possible attempts to trade Kurt. Therefore, if we are found:-

a) guilty - any punishment should include the losses we have already incurred by not being allowed to trade Tippett. For example, if the AFL don't consider pick 23 and Jesse White to be of less than fair value then I think it's fair to argue we have already been penalised at least a first and second round draft pick already. This has to be part or all of the punishment depending on its severity.

b) not guilty - we need to be compensated with draft picks because essentially the AFL would have penalised us already and that needs to be reversed.

Whatever the verdict our club must push this.

Hammered? really all they did was ask if she new who initiated the deal which she replied she didn't know, then asked if she had the actual evidence (email/letter) which she repplied she didn't but her source supposedly had seen it - which was followed up by questioning who her source was which led to them eliminating the crows, the afl and then her eliminating the Tippett camp.

Hardly any questions you wouldn't expect them to asked if you agreed to be interviewed on the subject matter, came across quite poor and un-committal towards her articles which has again led me to further question whether the articles have either been ghost written by Caroline Wilson or just solely rely on Wilson's information about the Tippett deal. Don't get me wrong I'm not doubting her as a journalist and I've liked reading her articles leading up to the drafts in the past and they may well be solely her own work but what does strike me is she has never been the breaking scandal writer for the Age until now.
Which leads to some questioning on my behalf of why she has been the one releasing these articles where in the past she usually has just stuck to writing articles on drafting and draft prospects.

We won't go down this road again, we've been there. Rohan was never on the table, for a very good reason.

Insulting me with childish epithets will get you nowhere. Knock yourself out trying though.

I have made my peace with this board, and have even offered my condolences regarding this sad affair to your fans, whom I believe are the biggest losers in all of this. You can hope and pray all you like that we'll be implicated, but as you and I both know that will not happen.

if that's the case then she shouldn't have written the articles. so she wants to write the articles based on one source and expects not to be asked genuine questions? she should stick to what she knows/prefers then and stop whining.

Good point, however I think we're screwed from at least one of the three issues.

I can't imagine Andy D ever saying: "Sorry guys, our bad. Here's pick 3."
