Chapman's 0/2 on the truth stakes so far.

Said he and the Board were completely unaware of the Tippett deal until Black Friday, when Gold Coast blew the whistle.

Also said we would mount a vigorous defence just before foregoing our first two 2012 picks and admitting we did it.

Hopefully he's lying about Trigg too.

So now our Chairman is a liar? Geez Carl, I guess you won't be happy until he's sacked too?

Sorry, can't agree to this mate :p I have no doubt the AFL will use it as a convenient excuse as to why we are not being punished as harshly as we might be. It will read well in the media.

Yeah....I reckon the AFL know full well the unsure ground they hold with all things concerning the right of players to derive income from additional sources and hopefully they are grooming the AFC/Tippett outcome to minimise further lawsuits.....thus our pineapple may not have those sharp serrations.

According to Ch7 Judd has launched his challenge against the AFL.

So what party of Carls post is wrong then Jenny?

Chapman has said he will fight any penalty he does not deem "fair", my guess is any penalty we get no matter how harsh, he will consider it fair just so he doesnt have to fight.

Unfortunately AFC has a history of accepting everything the AFL throws their way. eg. Not fighting Tex's 1st crap suspension last year, which got him further trouble later.

If we get an unfair penalty & don't fight it, we need to turf a stack of them on out the door. They are there to represent us, which sometimes (not all of the time) means speaking up when you don't agree with the AFL.

So I've heard the rumour that the Swans are interested in rookie listing Joel Tippett, wow can't believe this, it's just such a coincidence, they want to recruit the brother of the player that they've already offered a multi-million dollar deal to, I wonder if they realised they were brothers when they started looking at Joel Tippett, they couldn't of surely it just must be totally coincidental...

So you are implying Rob Chapman is a liar when he says he will fight any charge that the club and it's lawyers don't seem to think is fair?
I can only go on past experience (actions speak louder than words) where AFC never fight anything the AFL hands down - even if unfair. Hopefully Chapman lives up to his words if we are given an unfair penalty. I wouldn't be betting on it though!

Tomorrow's paper, Sheeds is talking up Joel too...

I've said all along that I want the Board to sack Trigg then to sack itself.

I'm actually starting to think that this is what Chapman will do.

I may have missed it, but when was this shown to be a lie?
Didn't Caro or Quayle (for what that's worth) make mention of the agreement's existence being confirmed in a board meeting?

Spot on.

One thing I've learned about the AFC - If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Aside from a Darren Jarman goal haul at the G?
Roo in top flight?
Andrew Mcleod on one leg?
Tex off one step from outside 50m?

Other than that, and a few other exceptions, I'll probably agree ;)

So who else like me has drunk the AFC coolaide and doesn't think we will be pineappled

put your money where your mouths are ladies and germs

pineapples
or
coolaide

People better start spelling it Kool Aid or I will lose my sh!t.

ONe off the wall thought (to go with Sheeds thought processes), would they pick Joel up in the PSD as a sweetener? Do they have a spare pick for that?
