If that statement from Chapman is on the ball & we get hit to the max then more heads than Trigg should be chopped off if only for the lack of respect our clubs hierarchy has shown to the members/supporters, but as others have stated i can see a cosy little deal has been made to suit both the AFL & the AFC.

.

Our side of the story is we're very guilty, and very sorry, on the plus side we like pineapple

Not sure how many facts are left to come out?
and so who initiated the deal ...us or Tippett

If Tippett ....he has to go half a season de-registration

If Tippett gets light result, after his aggressive attitude towards the AFL ....and we get lampooned for being nice and contrite ......that will seriously piss me off

If the statement WAS made by Chapman to the AGE ......then seriously :mad:

Shouldn;t that statement have been FIRSTLY put on the AFC website ....and secondly an email sent to members BEFORE the AGE publishes

So who is this PR company we've employed ......need to know which company to avoid

I would be pissed if we loose anymore draft picks. I am pissed we lost the two we did. As it stands Triggy is gone in my eyes.
I think the biggest problem for Triggy is the way he treated Rendell. The supporters are dirty on loosing him to Collingwood, and they are dirty how Triggy treated him in the high and mighty way he did. And now Triggy has brought more shame and pain on our club than Rendell ever did, he wants everyone to back him and give him a second chance, which is what he didn't give Matt. I think this will be the reason Triggy ends up going.
And I don't believe that Triggy is going to be hard to replace. Jackson would be far better for our club in Triggys job.
If Triggy had of backed Rendell then I think the mood of the supporters would be much more in Triggys favor.

Hopefully it will be adding Chapmans words "Trigg is a goner" " we could have been a contender" and "I have put a bounty on Tippetts head"
Changing the headline perhaps?

"Triggy Pulled"...?

Nah...the News Ltd subbies will be saving that for next week.

Newscastle Herald article under EQ ....yet not on The AGE site

Something not right about this .......appears in Newcastle paper but not Melbourne paper
Someone would've just hit publish early then pulled it, after it had populated out to the sub-sites. I imagine it'll be re-published on the Age this evening. Grab a copy of the herald article and play spot the difference.

Must have been just good timing that I grabbed it off the Real Footy site ... as other posts have said it is still showing on other sub-sites.

Wonder if they are changing something - or just popped it too early?
Or legal eagles have sent letters

But I have visited The age site a few times tonight with no article ......so this newsworthy article only appearing in sub paper sites ......MMmmm

Well it was there - thats where I copied the text from with the link ... on the The Age.

I think bob is closer to the truth of it ... will be interesting to see what changes.

I don't think this has been aired publicly before:

Chief executive Steven Trigg, football manager Phil Harper and former football manager John Reid are also planning to plead guilty to all charges.

Wonder if that was the something that slipped through - coz if they don't now plead guilty - where did this come from?

So he is contrite that we have seriously stuffed up, but at the same time says we should not get rid of Trigg because of this mistake. Meanwhile we bend over & take it (why are we payiing for those high paid lawyers?) & just move on like nothing ever happened. Marvellous stuff...
Agreed. We have employed all these expensive QCs, had multiple emails from the club telling us how we shouldn't believe what we are hearing in the press, have the two clowns on AA telling us from their inside sources at the club that they expect some of the charges to be dropped and downgraded etc, yet apparently we are just going to plead guilty to all charges, including ones we were told was not true. I have no faith in the AFC board who seems to be lurching form stuff up to stuff up, back flipping on everything they say.

It did appear in the Age, just because you missed it doesn't mean it wasn't there.

nothing slips thru ........every article would be approved by The Age legal team

so where is it ......you don't put articles up, then pull down UNLESS .......

Conspiracy theory #212

We won't be getting any compensation for Tippett, given that we illegally obtained his services for an additional 2 years. It is entirely appropriate that the penalty for this should be losing his services for no return. That's natural justice.

Joyce will be back on our list as soon as we can call his name in the PSD. No harm done, other than Joyce receiving a well deserved kick up the backside by being made abundantly aware of his positioning on our team list. He now knows he has to lift his game or face being delisted at the end of 2013.

As for the AFL paying for our legal costs.. PMSL.

C'mon Vader, what do you think the :p meant?

BTW I should report you for "Post Necrophilia", the post you quoted was almost 100 pages ago.:p

The Tippett saga: how it went wrong for Crows

Emma Quayle

IT IS late September, 2009. Adelaide has fallen just short of Collingwood in a tight semi-final, but the Crows are optimistic. They have a young, talented list, and high hopes for Patrick Dangerfield, Bernie Vince, Taylor Walker and others. Then there is Kurt Tippett, who has kicked 55 goals in his first full season to become one of the most exciting young forwards in the game.

There's just one problem. In a meeting on the Gold Coast, Adelaide chief executive Steven Trigg and football manager John Reid are told that Tippett is on his way out. The Queenslander is contracted for one more year but has been offered a lot of money to join the new Gold Coast side for its debut season in 2011 and, according to his manager Peter Blucher, is on the verge of accepting it. The deal had been offered in the short off-season window in which the Suns were allowed to broach and reach terms with opposition players.

The breach of trust - attempted cover-up/not being truthful to supporters through this whole process is just as bad as the incompentent actions/non-actions of management.

I was surprised when it was mentioned we were looking forward to the hearing & fighting the charges as many were supposedly not correct ... yet now we appear to be pleading guilty to everything. If true, this is basically signing off that there is no point of return for those implicitly involved.
