Firstly, not sure what people are carrying on about.... again, EQ's article is nothing we haven't already heard before in some form or another.
Secondly, someone at AFL house has got a big mouth and there should be questions as to who is supplying this info. To detailed for someone to be joining the dots. Questions need to be asked and answered by Vlad. There is a leak and it must be coming from AFL house.

As was always the case, despite the naysayers.

1. Trigg
2. Board

Gone.

We're cheating, corrupt liars.

And the atrocities in the article, cover-ups would be par for the course with all our other high profile players.

"We're confident the AFL won't find anything amiss in any other contracts" - yeah, thanks Chappy. Good to hear that we're better at covering our tracks now. I like to see improvement.
Yes, nothing less than a complete cleanout of all involved will be unsatisfactory to the vast majority of Crows fans. What a fine legacy they are leaving us, just as our premiership window opened, our medium-term future looks completely stuffed as the penalties will take effect.

Need to bring in someone like a Wayne Jackson & let him decide who should remain at AFC. The supporters deserve to have someone in charge they have faith in & who is at least transparent, rather than feeding us with BS cover-ups. Enough is enough.

I still wonder what harper could have done? The deal was there, he had to abide by it.

And he hasn't been the one telling lies to everyone publicly

The part about tipp rejecting 3rd party deals he had to work hard for should have told us everything about his character, but we ignored that
Yea, he sounds the worse done by out of it all. Gone into a situation where there was already a loaded gun pointed at him.

This is spot on.

There is new stuff that I hadn't heard before.

However, you have an excellent point about the AFL leak. Our lawyers should be using this to our advantage by saying that it is denying natural justice ... but given we are pleading guilty, probably won't make any difference!

I think it's more having it all laid on the table like that in one hit that it's really quite easy to see how ****ed we are

The Advertiser understands the Crows will plead guilty to nine charges relating to alleged salary cap rorting and draft tampering involving Kurt Tippett.
The AFL is considering banning Adelaide chief executive Steven Trigg and football manager Phil Harper from any involvement in football for five months, The Advertiser understands.
A club fine of $400,000 and ban from the first two rounds of the next two national drafts is expected.
Crows chairman Rob Chapman said long bans for its CEO and football manager could cost their jobs.
It is understood the board has already decided it could cope with suspensions lasting only four or five months. But anything longer and it is likely both officials will fall on their swords.
"That would probably be our toughest decision as a board," Chapman said.
"First we will have to see how the commission hearing pans out. Then our fans can be rest assured we will make decisions which will be in the best interests of the club."

On the same topic but a different point. How bad a negotiator is Reid? I do some negotiating for work and would get shot if I did a deal that underwrote someone's income. What incentive was there for Tippett to actually go out and seek private deals for $200k (where he'd actually have to do something for it) when Adelaide had already guaranteed it!

Wonder how many more give away's we've done.

His handling of the sponsorship side of this would seem amateurish at best.

How the **** can they still think Trigg has a job even if he isn't suspended by the AFL?

And there is one major lesson we need to take away from this. **** promoting within. What credentials did Trigg have to be appointed CEO? Harper to be appointed general manager of football operations? They were both communications manager, how does that qualify?

He wouldn't had to work for it at GC as their base offer was that much higher

You know, Friday isn't that long away. I'll reserve my judgement until the facts and the punishments come out but I won't be going off half cocked on the back of an Emma Quayle article which is little more than republishing acknowledged facts and a bit of speculating.
Well you are deluded. Not enough detail in that article for you? By the way, Adelaide Now are also reporting we are going to plead guilty to all charges.

Where have I heard that before?

This is moving faster than I expected. Despite the denials from Rob Chapman I simply don't believe that ST will keep his job?

P.S. Where is Jenny?

Well for starters putting emails in writing, then asking all parties to destroy the emails after & not tell anyone is amateur hour.

So much for a discounted penalty for an early plea if true.

At least the AFL may take the sacking of Trigg & Harper out of the AFC Board's hands, which is a good thing, given the support Chapman has been giving.

Let's not forget, for 24 hours earlier this year Matt Rendell was a blatant racist. It was only when we heard his side of the story and the context of his comments was explained we realised how badly he had been shafted.

Not claiming the club is innocent, just that there us a lot of info missing from the story. There are affidavits from most of the sponsors involved which will put some context on some of the emails.

Whose our current communications manager? He'd be loving life knowing he's about to be promoted.

I think it's more having it all laid on the table like that in one hit that it's really quite easy to see how screwed we are

All she has done is consolidated the numerous articles she and CW have written. If you break it down there is nothing "sensationally" new or more damning than what has been reported previously.
