So we wanted to keep Tippett away from the the GC in 2011 ........guess they really are clueless ...saved Tippett, lost davis, then lost Tippett, then lost 8 1st/2nd round draft picks

That's what i call being switched on

Well you are deluded. Not enough detail in that article for you? By the way, Adelaide Now are also reporting we are going to plead guilty to all charges.

Hardly but I'm not going to run with my head in my hands just because of a news paper article. I will wait and see what happens when they sit down on Friday, anything before that is speculation, it's all it can be.

Also, of course we are going to plead guilty...it is what you do when you bargain your first two picks. I would be horrified if they gave up the two picks and then went in and pleded not guilty, I mean what would be the point?

Well for starters putting emails in writing, then asking all parties to destroy the emails after & not tell anyone is amateur hour.
Yep fits rule of cheating ....put everything in writing, including a note not to tell anyone we;re cheating to the only people who could expose us

You just have to laugh at the incompetencies

A ban from the first 2 rounds of the next 2 drafts, is 3 drafts in total including this year

Isn't that worse than Carlton?
yep and a lot more than Melbourne will get

Shows being a good corporate citizen gets you running last

All she has done is consolidated the numerous articles she and CR have written. If you break it down there is nothing "sensationally" new or more damning than what has been reported previously.

I don't recall this before;
As the three-week trade period began in early October, Trigg left Adelaide on a European holiday. His instructions to Noble were to chase the best possible deal for Tippett but, if push came to shove, accept a second-round draft pick.

If true, it tends to fly in the face of the Trigg claim that he phoned Blucher and the parties agreed to void the off contract second round exit clause.

Well if we lose three years of draft picks for this, Melbourne may never get a draft pick again for their game throwing! Do you think the AFL will impose significantly steeper penalties on Melbourne for a much worse crime.

Consistency please AFL!

Mate, consistency and AFL don't belong in the same sentence.

Ever.

So much for a discounted penalty for an early plea if true.

At least the AFL may take the sacking of Trigg & Harper out of the AFC Board's hands, which is a good thing, given the support Chapman has been giving.

This is where the spin doctors really earn their money.

It's a discount from losing our first two draft picks in 4 drafts, a million dollar fine and loss of premiership points. By Sunday some of the space travellers will be saying it is a mere blip on the radar.

No - we banned ourselves from the first two rounds of this years draft in the vain hope the AFL will go 'OK, we'll count that, and only ban you from next year's draft'.

They will not include it in our penalty. To do so would seem weak and like they were allowing clubs to choose their own penalties, and take it when it suits them. Carlton for one would have a fit.

Trigg is rolling over and giving up the farm to protect whatever sort of future he's still holding onto in his deluded mental fantasy where he still has a job after Friday.

As soon as it was made clear he was responsible for this debacle, he should have been instantly dismissed for gross negligence and distanced as far as possible away from the club. His actions have made it clear he's not fit or capable to be in charge of our defence of this matter and it should have been handed to lawyers to execute the best possible defence we could muster.

The AFL is considering banning Adelaide chief executive Steven Trigg and football manager Phil Harper from any involvement in football for five months, The Advertiser understands.
A club fine of $400,000 and ban from the first two rounds of the next two national drafts is expected.

Where have I heard that before?

This is moving faster than I expected. Despite the denials from Rob Chapman I simply don't believe that ST will keep his job?

P.S. Where is Jenny?

And FFS, why in gods name are you patting yourself on the back before the facts come out again?

Mr "He's gone to Gold Coast, he signed in a window 12 months ago".

Give it a rest and wait til the decisionis made and not on the back of the Advertiser, with such wonderful articles as the "last lick of the spoon".

So we potentially went over the salary cap over the last three years with a squad that was one of the youngest in the AFL and would not have rated in the top six squads despite the dramatic improvement of our kids.

Now that really takes a talent.

P.S Can we send some of our guys to Collingwood and Hawthorn for work experience?

If Emma's account is accurate, Sydney should be investigated for draft tampering.

They were holding you to ransom. Dodgy as all hell.
You do realise its all your fault, if only you had offered us Redden and Polec last year, all of this may never have eventuated. ;) however we probably would have knocked you back and backed ourselves to keep the greedy homesick campaigner.

Agreed.

Not willing to concede that I may not have been totally deluded over the last 4 months?

Maintain the rage jumboprince.
