Another reason to hate collingwood...Play hard ball crows! Don't let them steal Tippett like they tried to do with Nick Stevens!

Pies board reckon two high teens picks is fair if not slightly overs. Ugh

Hope Thommo and Rutten come out angry at Kurt and "thank" him for everything he's done to Adelaide.

And for the record Kurt, Tex is gonna kick your ass in the goal tally.

Look I hope you get a fair deal for Tippett, but I would burn down the club if they gave up the No2 pick, he is a handy footballer but no star (read back through the comments on this thread) plus
  • Big head knocks
  • Average shot at goal
  • struggles to finish in the top 10 at the B&F
  • And now the money grab and loyalty issue
I can't see us selling the farm to get him, plus if he wants $800,000 he can look somewhere else.

AFGM has been correct to date and my contact has always stated Gorringe and Flanigan in exchange for Tippett. Personally if he is all about the money I don't want him at my club.
You are kidding.....aren't you.........Who's that dude from Geelong name escapes me........and another dude (think he broke his leg this year) former AA half back??? If you took out all the recruits who were there just for the money you wouldn't have enough for a game of checkers!

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if Harford on SEN is to be believed, we've offered our pick 11 to GC for Caddy. Perhaps this could be used to bring Kurt home?

Fev and Tex would be magnificent.

It's time the club ditched its all-costs mission to be a wussy man. Fev 'n' Tex. Mullet 'n' Debt. Delicious.

But seriously, we'd win a flag.

If he actually gets that personal Trainer thing happening I'd actually consider this.... maybe only a 1 or 2 year thing but hell Fev and Tex! would be so awesome.

No we didn't. Your coach didn't want to trade him to us (Port was the top with us at the time). That same moronic coach let him go into the draft for zero return.

Cannot believe this Collingwood stuff as how can they possibly have salary cap room and how do they look to own players saying have no room and now come out throwing stupid money offers around.
If Tippett does go there he has totally destroyed any respect from any footy club supporter and treated Crows and team mates unbelievably badly.
What do they have to offer us anyway and same as Swans nothing to really offer.
Crows club has been battered again and if we let a key player go again so timidly like Gunston well we will continue to be shafted by our own players and other clubs.
Yes we can get out of this ok but needs so true grit and enterprise to turn this fiasco around .

I don't believe in the "send to the PSD, f*ck him" mentality, any club should get some reward for their players. But I'm wondering if the new list lodgement stuff actually means he won't even go to the PSD, if we went that path.

List Lodgement 1 is due October 31. If he hasn't signed a contract, and he hasn't been traded, surely we have to drop him from the list by this date.

November 1 is the Commencement to Delisted Player Free Agency Period. So, if we have delisted on LL1, he is free to move to any club.

However, if he can still remain on our list under LL2 (Nov 15), then he can go in the ND, if he nominates. After the ND, there is a 2nd Free Agency Period.

November 29 is LL3, so if we can keep on list until then, he then goes into the PSD.

It all depends on WHEN we have to delist him, if he's not traded.

Players who have been offered a contract by their current team but refuse to sign do not count as delisted free agents. They have to enter the Pre-Season Draft.

If he goes to Collingwood/Carlton - my stance yesterday will be vindicated that a few Victorian clubs simply see us as a soft target.

If they can afford him, why can't we unless their is something seriously wrong with Adelaide or the Crows.

If he goes to Collingwood, what happened to the contract with gold coast signed twelve months ago?

Awaiting confirmation before we ask AFGM to clarify.
I think it would be wise to wait til its confirmed before you have a crack at AFGM. You have not exactly been accurate on this issue. Up until now you have been trying to tell us he was undecided.

Everyone save your venom until the deal is done. All Kurt has done has announced he wants to be traded which is what he had to do to go to Gold Coast. It's up to the club to negotiate the deal. So neither he or the club will say anything until the paperwork is done. Once you announce your tradeability every vulture with a remote chance is going to knock on your door. So ignore the gossip and let it play out.

In all possibility Kurt might want 100% to go to Gold Coast but the AFC might decide their best deal is with another club. So in the end Kurt gets screwed too. But why would Adelaide want to trade to Collingwood and enhance Collingwood's finals chances. Trading him to Gold Coast for less than Collingwood's offer (if it exists) would be a good strategic move to keep Kurt in a side languishing at the bottom of the ladder.

You can say what you want about AFGM, but he has been bloody well on the ball since he called this 2 months ago... Tippett will end up at Gold Coast.. kudos to AFGM:thumbsu:

GC won't part with a 1st Rd for him. Carlton won't hand over #11. Only Brisbane have prepared to handover #8.

Is Pick 16 & Pick 18 > greater value than Pick 8. It is.

who says? As Tim Watson said on SEN this morning, fairness is in the eye of the beholder. Totally depends who the Crows believe they can get with those picks.
