First off he wont be on a mill per year it maybe a million dollar contract but not per year
Secondly johnston is more important then tippett Johnson won us a flag FFS he was outstanding in granny and with our aging backline is well needed there's no point strengthening the forward line if it's going it drastically weaken our back 6 particularly when johnsons the sort of player our so called flingshot counter attack is based around.

Didn't he sign like a 15 year deal at the start of the season? That's be an enormous turnaround.

And we aren't giving up Johnson it just ain't happening. What if I throw in a free newspaper to hit Grundy with?
If the Swans hierarchy think Johnston is more important than Tippett then presumably he'll also be on a million dollar a year contract?First off he wont be on a mill per year it maybe a million dollar contract but not per year

ha, your arguements are almost as poor as your footy knowledge.First off he wont be on a mill per year it maybe a million dollar contract but not per year

Well, let's be real here for a second. You're not against recruiting him. You're against paying his market value.
If Sydney gain his services, you will be cheering for him. So, please don't say you're against recruiting him.
You can read on our board again and again why I would prefer not to get tippett at his inflated dollar value. I DO NOT WANT tIPPETT DUE TO THE FINANCIAL RAMIFICATIONS IT WILL HAVE ON RE-SIGNING PLAYERS NEXT YEAR. It has absolutely nothing to do with trading it is solely due to our re-signing players next year
well at least we know you aren't working for the club....because they did make the offer![]()

That could work and may establish the higher pick that Tippett demands but that still leaves us with a problem Parker at best would get us pick 8-10
Would Grundy plus pick 8 and 22 get the deal done?
For a start Tippett is not a star yet, only 39 goals this year suggest so, secondly Parker and Grundy are far better players than Jaensch and Joncock, thirdly if Tippett decides to nominate for the Swans the Crows are not in much of a position to play hardball, its what the Swans offer or nothing.
You can say this all you like, but once he is on your list - you will support him. We are pissed off with him because he is a GUN player.
You don't want to pay his value, not that you don't want him. Major difference.
I wonder whether we'd offer to cover part of Kurt's contract so that Brisbane could increase their offer, if they were, as is likely, to offer more on the trade table.
Sigh, you're right. I obviously have no idea what I'm saying and you know my preference in the matter of the swans far better than me.
I don't want to pursue swans usually way of trading in picking undervalued players or rather we go for Tex or Hawkins if they were available.
I can say again why I do not want Tippett at the club but it seems that there's no point reiterating it. Again.
