Every year at work i run 2 comps.

One is the standard where you put your tips in every week

The other one is where before round 1 you do your tips for the whole year,It can be interesting during the year to see where you are on your weekly tips compared to your yearly ones.

and....?:D But yeah i've done that one too where you do it all at the start of the yr once or twice and its all ends up disastrously. Have you got a oztips setup or something similar on the internet, so we can do it?

Definitely sounds interesting - I like changeups to the usual tipping format.

I was in one a few years ago that had an FA Cup-style knockout format on top of the usual first (so many) past the post after 22 rounds deal.

Idea was everyone had to tip on a single nominated game each week with the winners progressing to the next round and the losers bowing out. Last man standing won the lot.

As I said previously B4 strat of the season - gets everyones end of season ladder and Crows player ranking at years end...............if you like a bit like Mike Sheehans top 50 players at seasons end .............gee could be very embarassing

Could be all over very quickly if a favourite is cleaned up. This happened in a finals tipping comp I was in a couple of years ago.

Another competition variation Ive tipped in is......

Each tipster is allocated 20 points per round to spread against each game.

Every game must have at least one point allocated against it with a minimum of one point per game and a maximum of ten points per game.

In any case, the 8 games each round have 20 points against them.

Winner of comp at years end has the most points.

Can be cruel to your chances though if a favourite gets cleaned up (and you had a maximum of 10 points on it):o

I like this one. Its the Best Bet idea.

eg over the 8 games you pick your best bet or dead cert etc and if there is an upset your season is over

Santos has run something like that on BF more than once.
